The Closure

Mod review

It should be noted that I did not finish it (it made me very monotonous)

Argument
The plot is somewhat poor, accompanied by the misuse of cinematics, unlike the original Half Life (1, 2, etc) where the plot was somewhat simple, this was left a bit aside due to how entertaining and well-set it was. , This Mod is the opposite, the really entertaining parts can be counted on the fingers of one hand, at first the shootings are great but then they become very monotonous, reaching the point that you do not even make an effort to move because it is easier to kill to enemy soldiers like that.

Maps
Largely, they are fine, sometimes the linearity is lost but most of the time not, the designs are sometimes attractive but sin that you can confuse a section with your way forward and get off the map. In general the maps are fine but if there is a horrible defect it is the "help" that the game gives you when it comes to indicating where you have to go (in case you did not realize which was the way) something to replace this would obviously be , make a mapping that does not confuse the player.

Southernmost Combine

Mod review

Argument
The story begins in a small town in a good setting and immediately they send us to board a train where our adventure begins, without more than that, the trigger is someone who sends us to a train with no more information than that.

Maps
The mapping is excellent except for some other specific failure, environmentally it is a 10, the tetric atmosphere of the beginning added to the dirt of the facilities makes you believe it, this section is done with great detail and the truth is appreciated

Allies
They are few and do not have much relevance at the playable level, they do not follow us or anything but they do serve to advance the story since we are the protagonist (clearly)

Enemies
The number of enemies and their difficulty are very well leveled, the places where the combats are fought are very well set (as I said, a 10 in mapping) with many objects that will react to the shooting that we free. In addition to the above, we also have the option of going stealthily to an area that provides us with the greatest advantage (such as the place that looks like a bar / kitchen where good rock and roll is heard).
One defect is that the Elite appear only at the end, at the end when what we prioritize is escape, I would have liked to face them much more.

Things to emphasize:
*The Combine who is leaning back in his chair watching the security cameras has the door nailed down with a board.
*When entering the club and when leaving his turn, does he take it out so that the next one who takes his place will nail it again?
*The escape of the laser is unlikely.
*I love how they make the most of the use of machinery, the train, crane, etc.
*I would have liked to be more in the town where we started the story because the truth is that it is very well done

The demo doesn't work at all, I'm going to look on the another page for the "definitive" version of the game to see if it works, meanwhile: 1

Garry's Mod

Game review

One of the best Sandboxes in history, with the Source 2 graphics engine it gives us the freedom of practically everything, all this is accompanied by downloadable content from both Valve and the community, this gives more diversity to this game, allowing you to have weapons , enemies, allies and others, coming from other games as well as from movies, comics, etc.

You can do practically whatever it is and the best thing is that you can play online with your friends, it is a joke to be honest and for its price it is totally worth it, highly recommended.

Half-Life 2: Episode Two

Game review may contain spoilers

Half Life 2: Episode 2 is a combat game in both closed and open stages

Direct sequel to Half Life 2: Episode 1 (very oriented to a cooperative style) we start on a train as usual and we immediately meet Alyx who gives us the anti-gravity weapon, again Half Life delights us with her a little direct exposure (not letting us advance before the explosion), after a short tour we continue to be introduced to that enemy that we had already seen in Half Life 2 Ep 1, the Hunters.

In a very somber and well-set way, they introduce us to the "Hunters" in all their splendor, from there "something" happens that forces us to move forward with another character (continuing with the cooperation as in the previous installment), we enter a mine that It will precede a set of scenarios focused on terror due to its once again incredible setting where Half Life makes those enemies that we killed with "ease" in previous installments become much more formidable due to the scenarios and lack of weapons (as happened with the Stryder from the end of Episode 1) to later face the real challenge, an army of Stryder, which we must avoid at all costs from reaching the Magnuson Rocket (a new character out of nowhere).
