You're absolutely correct. It was a lack of attention on my part. I've just found out there's another addon that conflicts with yours, "Bigger Stash Icons".

I'll retest it, if I find anything odd, will report it.

Thanks!

Greetings.

This addon is still 10/10 for me, but it's important to give a heads-up about a little bug.

If you're bleeding or irradiated, by default, Anomaly won't let you fast-travel, since if you do, you're gonna die, considering the bleed and poison damage will continue being applied all the time it will take to reach your destination. The game forces you to cure yourself before using fast travel, since as little as 10 minutes off-game fast-traveling will kill you.

But the game doesn't prevent the player from traveling bleeding or irradiated if you travel by the arrow-shaped markers on the edge of maps. Now, if you travel by these markers, again by game default, time won't pass. Since this addon serves to puts time exactly between the travels using theses for the sake of immersion, if you're bleeding or irradiated, and the game doesn't remind you about that, your character is going to die.

This is exceptionally important for ironman players. Had to learn this the hard way, lol.

Raven, it's been some time, but I didnt' want to leave you in the darkness. I ended up finding the real mistake. When you launched your new mags addon couple days ago, I replayed with MadMags, the old mags addon, for reference, and I found out that It was THAT addon that was causing the crashes, and not the Dynamic NPC Armor Visuals.

I believe I even know what's the problem, even though I don't code. It was kinda easy to deduce, from the log itself. Apparently, the author of MadMags forgot to connect those two armors with the possibility of magazines being attached to them, since magazines are related to the armor the player is wearing, especially on how many magazines one can put in the loadout, alongside the magazine's sizes.

Re-tested it without any addons, all armors works fine. Re-tested it again with your mags redux, all armor works fine. Re-tested it once more with your new magazines addon, all armors works fine.

Sorry for the false flag. Keep up the good work!

There are. I just feel it's not enough. At least, not when everybody loves to talk about immersion. Then again, I don't know how to code, and talk is cheap. No one is charging for addons, and I'm thankful for any contribution.

Don't mind me, though. I'm grateful for your mod. I just fell off track, venting a little bit.

GabeCPB0 - - 354 comments @ Limited (And Paid) Fast Travel (UPDATE 1)

This is an excellent mod, for realism purposes.

However, I feel that the game already has the same concept in it, in the form of guides. It's just a thought but perhaps It would be better to enhance in some form the accessibility to guides, which I feel is an underestimated resource in the game. I barely see anyone on Youtube or Twitch that plays Anomaly using them (guides).

It's a shame that it is a kinda forgotten component of the game, but it's a canon one, since it was in CoP.

GabeCPB0 - - 354 comments @ Dynamic NPC Armor Visuals (Anomaly 1.5.1/1.5.2)

Greetings.

I'd like to report a bug.
I was attending one of those RF Receiver tasks given by ordinary stalkers, where they give a numerical frequency in a particular map, and ask the player to search for a squad of his dead friends. Found the squad, and when I went to strip the armor of their corpses, I was propelled to the ceiling of the map, and died. Don't know for sure what caused it, but I believe it was something connected to the ragdoll effect after striping someone's armor.

I have never seen this before. While I already happened to be pushed after striping someone's armor, In all these months, the maximum the ragdolls effects have done are maybe pushing the player a little bit. Perhaps the only care needed was when near of anomalies of edges.

I don't know if this is of any importance, but I'll share the details. Was playing as Freedom, Ironman mode, going for an Invictus achievement, and close to the Heavy Pockets achievement in order to buy the svarog, instead of grinding Eco's goodwill. The map where it happened was Jupiter (or Yanov, depending on the idiom), and the bodies of the mission were located in a small swamp between Volkhov AA Complex and the southwest bandit base. Looking back now I laugh, but I was very ****** when it happened, lol.

I will maintain the 10/10 note, because I wholeheartedly believe this is one of the most important Anomaly mods, its concept always should have been in the canon games, from the very start. I also understand that this mod was a bitch to code, involving a lot of players, and that Stalker Engine, X-Ray, is very, very limited when it comes to the bodies of the NPC's. Also, I don't know how to code, so I'm really complaining with my belly full here.

But there are, imo, levels of severity that an unintended effect should have on someone's game. Crashing the game when the mod's effect, whatever it may be, or not working well with other mods is one thing. Outright killing the player in its playthrough is another, especially a Ironman run in its end. Well, maybe not for casual players, which just might be the majority. Maybe it's my rage of losing a long time-invested good game typing here. Had to re-type that part. I'm still grateful for the mod.

But the bug report stands. I recall that I used to use a mod called Dynamic Objects, and I was playing, surprise surprise, an Ironman run as Duty, and when I went to the Dark Valley from Garbage, the mod spawned a truck in the entrance of the mod. With no place to be, the game killed my character. That run wasn't as much of a ruin as this one, since it was still in the beginning. I don't know what my degree of responsibility was, probably none, but in the same week after I commented about this bug, the owner took down the mod. I bit severe reaction, but I don't know if it could have been fixed, don't know how to code. I don't even know if he read my comment, lol. Don't know why he took it down.

This mod must never be taken down, to the contrary, hopefully this concept will be implemented to Stalker 2, and this mod will be refined. But as of how it is now, this mod may push you character to death. Don't play Ironman with it, if you don't want to punch your keyboard if it kills you like this.

I just came from the mod that makes the npc ignore artifacts, and saw the author's the same. Lad's gonna think I'm onto him, but in my humble opinion, the same critique there also applies here.

While I believe all mods have their places, including this one, I can't rate this one high. Of all mods of the Stalker franchise, Anomaly, I believe, is the most successful in terms of number of players, alongside CoC, and that is because it tries, with all its flaws, to be as real-life like as possible, and that appeals to people that likes this FPS-RPGesque type of genre.

Mods like this one go against the experience of what Anomaly wants to brings to the table. That being said, everyone should play the game as they should see fit, very easy or as real as it gets.

Well, if you want, you can kill the stalker that got the artifact before you, and loot him. If he's allied, you can just disguise yourself.

While I'm all about variety inside the modding community, this mod makes as if the npc's exists just for being killed and looted by the player, which is against the realism and immersion that Anomaly tries to bring to the table.

That, I didn't test. I didn't know that I could remove DNPCAV mid-game without crashing, since most mods usually don't go for that.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid I can't test the cases I brought, since I've moved on with those games. But if I find myself having similar problems, deffo will test with And without the addon apllied in Mo2 before bringing claims.

GabeCPB0 - - 354 comments @ TB's Bugged Stashes Fix v1.4

Greetings.

First of all, thanks for your addon! It's invaluable to give players a fully immersive experience, since the base Anomaly is plagued with these buggy stashes that only serve to greatly annoy the player.

That being said, I do have a situation that maybe is important to address. I've been using your addon for some months, a long time now. When I first installed it, I believe it was the very first version, the 1.0 one, and never had a problem.

Right. Since then, I updated to version 1.4, (don't recall when, but surely it's been some months now) the current one as I write, and I'm fairly sure it isn't working.

You see, nowadays, I mainly play Ironman, going for an Invictus. I die, I have to restart the whole game from scratch. In some of these games, I recall having Forester's radio, and the double stash south of Forester's base, even though your addon should remove them.

But it wasn't in my current playthrough, that I received the stash north of the bandits base, where the access is above the stalker's grave in the middle of nowhere, that I clicked that something wasn't right, and came back to read your addon's description.

After reading it, I recall getting a lot of stashes that your addon should block. The pictures you posted helped immensely with recognizing them. That suggests that, all this time, your addon wasn't working at all, even though it is right there, applied and verified, in Mo2.

I do would like to point, and this is perhaps the strangest thing, when I press console, there are, indeed, some lines written there with the title of your mod. I wish I could share the screen, but Moddb's commentary section doesn't allow for images.

There are no conflicts with your addon in my list of addons. I was reading the other comments, some people asked if this doesn't conflict with Grok's stash overhaul, but Mo2 says it doesn't, so it couldn't be it, I think.

I don't know if it's the script of version 1.4. Unfortunately, Moddb doesn't allow, as far as I know, to download old versions of addon posts, so I can't testify for myself if TB's Bugged Stashes was working prior to version 1.2.

Hope you can fix this, if possible. Your addon is one of those that should be in basegame, such is the importance of your addon.

That's it. Hope this helps somehow. Thanks for your attention.

The idea is very good. I, myself, have a personal .ltx page where I changed lots of values of cooking ingame. We have common ground in the idea that, the way it was, cooking is costly and time-consuming. Without any modifications, it's better to just buy regular food at traders than to cook.

If this was DLTX, it would be just perfect, since it wouldn't be able to conflict with anything else!

Greetings!

I believe I've found an error. This is a more, say, refined error, since in the crash it doesn't appear that famous description "fatal error".

I experienced this crash a number of times already, since version 12 came out, but only now came to this conclusion, and after some testing, I'm pretty sure that some armors, when you try to loot them from the body, will crash the game.

The only culprit that I've found up until the time of this message is the Mercenary STS-W Body Armor. It doesn't matter how I try, with CTRL+T or clicking, it will crash. Tried several times, all of them crashed. And always in the armor.

EDIT: Curious thing, worth reporting. If I right-click on the armor and chose the option to move to my backpack, it'll move without crashing the game, and the armor functions normally. Also, if I hover above it, using the addon that allows for moving stuff between backpacks by maintaining the shift key pressed, it'll also move the armor to the backpack, and I will be able to use it normally.

However, and this is a big if, after a while, or after some maps changes, the game will start to behave strangely. Some examples are a difficulty for reloading (using mags redux), things getting very weird in the backpack, not allowing its use or move, and after a while, not allowing fast travel. I do use a lot of addons, however, these things only start to happen after I move a "problematic" armor, using the methods I wrote above, and have never happened before. I believe it has something to do with getting the "problematic" armor. That being said, an easy quit the game to the desktop and coming back again solves everything.
This is my intuition saying, but maybe getting the armor in the first place, using one of those methods that allow it, snowballs some problems in the code of the game, but quitting and coming back solves everything to normal.

Thanks for the attention.

EDIT, 13/09/21.

I believe I've found another "problematic "armor. It's an NBC type of armor, but the one for the, again them, mercenaries. This time, the game doesn't even allow me the pass the mouse's pointer on it, it will crash instantaneously.

If I transfer it with Shift+T, it'll transfer to my personal backpack, but it'll go to the junk tab, usually number 8 without bart's sorting addon, not to the armor tab, which number 3. And again, if I try to pass the pointer above the armor, the game will crash, even in my personal backpack.
