Wow! This is truly triadtimes's magnum opus. Clever yet intuitive puzzles and a mysterious story that unfolds in a non-scary yet riveting manner combine to create a rewarding experience packed into a bite-sized timeframe. Bravo!
Similar to the previous work Other, this custom story is well-made but lacking in content. It's a fresh idea that I would like to see explored in further detail!
What is here is quite compelling, but there isn't much to it. For this reason I can't give it any more than 8/10. It would be interesting to see the concept fleshed out.
A very creepy custom story worth checking out for Amnesia enthusiasts!
Pros:
-Scary as hell
-Riveting non-linear level design
-Compelling exploration with lots of goodies tucked in every corner
-Harrowing narrative featuring primordial evil
Cons:
-Almost impossible to retrieve item out of sewer pipe
-Woefully obtuse puzzles, especially toward the end
-Difficult to escape enemies
-Story threads that didn't quite all come together
I am giving this mod a generous 8/10, really more like 7.5 but I am rounding up due to the limitations of the rating system.
Pros:
-Detailed, spooky environments
-Mysterious, enthralling lore
-Largely intuitive puzzles
Cons:
-TOO DARK! Even having gamma at 1.25 it was too hard to see without the lantern, which itself was quite dim with not enough oil throughout. It felt like the lantern drained faster than normal too.
-Overly-labyrinthine level designs sometimes. I had to look up a video walkthrough for how to make sulfuric acid because I had missed an item in the crouching maze before the lab.
-Story is too open-ended, leaves too many questions unanswered.
The atmosphere of this one is really what elevates it for me. Nice work!
This custom story is absolutely oozing with atmosphere! Like The Curse of Brewer Manor before it, I would have liked a more compelling conclusion to tie everything together in a meaningful way. Nevertheless, I haven't felt this immersed in Amnesia in quite a while!
This custom story has the beginnings of something good, but the promise it shows never fully develops. I'm left scratching my head rather than satisfied. A more fulfilling conclusion would elevate this mod!
Man, there were some really creative ideas in here that made it close to being great, but it was brought down by convoluted implementation that required heavy use of the developer walkthrough. I think if it had more time in the oven, it could have been something really special. Oh well, nice attempt!

Recommended for Amnesia fanatics. Looking forward to playing the sequel!
This is one of the best classic-style Amnesia mods I have played! Incredible mapping and details, a heart-wrenching and well-written story, and intuitive puzzles. The only thing really holding it back is the complete lack of autosaves. I got stuck once on level geometry and had to retread a bunch of progress which was a real bummer. But still I highly recommend Followed by Death to any fans of TDD!
