Quick observation. I noticed that "making peace" with the CSA when they offer it near the beginning seems to cause the bug to trigger much sooner. The deepest runs I have ever had were from ignoring all that stuff. Can you think of a reason this appears to be correlated? Possibly the AI doing something that would be more likely to happen without a nearby enemy or something?

Another question (I really appreciate you answering these by the way) Does Zone of Recruitment affect Minor Nations at all? I have personally never noticed a crash during a minors turn.

Just a innocent question. Is anyone who worked on this one affiliated with the Napoleon Civil War Mod? I noticed some similarities.

Just because I like it. I like it alot. Regardless of where the campaign is it is still one of my favorite things to play. I am attached to it for personal reasons. No reason other than that.

You mentioned upgrades? I remember you said that the technology research was eventually removed due to all of it (obviously) being general knowledge at the time of the Civil War. Was anything planned and partially made and somehow made it into the mod unintentionally?

I would like to try it out but not have to uninstall ACW. Is it possible to play without uninstalling ACW?

I really happy hope he is committed to it. I would love to play through the campaign even once without a crash. Did he tell you this directly?

Yeah. I tried using that in the quick battles and it crashes the game. That is the one that is listed in the description as being bugged. I do not see how that should have been supposed to make it into the campaign since it is a unit for a Mexican - American war Faction. Is it somehow possible that this faction is somewhere in the campaign when it should not be?

Was it you who said there was the guy from the war of 1812 Mod interested in attempting to fix this. If so do you have any news on that?

Was there some localized unit you can think of that was maybe scrapped last minute but not fully removed? I am sorry to bother you with these questions. Thank you.

That is what I was thinking. I have not tried to run the campaign without zone of recruitment yet, which some say if it is not on they do not experience the crash. Does Zone of Recruitment just affect units or other things as well? Im wondering if at this point a specific unit is supposed to come into availability for the AI but it was not properly implemented. Can you just explain to me the best you can what exactly zone of recruitment does? This will give me an idea of what to observe when I do a union play through next.

Its me again. I just did a run of the CSA campaign again. It consistently crashes on the 25th turn right at the start of winter of 1862. Is there anything you can think of that is supposed to start here that could possibly be causing the bug? I may have a few ideas but am curious to here your opinion. Thank you.

Okay I understand what your saying. But why do you leave comments saying things like proper programmers would need to look at the code, and asking if people have enough money to hire them? Is this just because no one has volunteered to do it? It's just really confusing that sometimes you talk like the bug likely can't be fixed because of how complicated empire total war is to mod, but the next day you will act like anyone who ever comments on here is capable of doing it. I genuinely have an interest in attempting to fix this. Heck I would gladly spend my time working on this mod even more if I knew what I was doing. I just want to understand what I am getting into first.

I mean I guess I could give it a shot if I learned something about coding. I have never made a mod for a game in my life, and I feel I would get in way over my head trying. How do I even look at the files? And after I get there what would I even be looking for? I'll honestly give it a try.

I am sorry,I should not have worded it like that. You just kind of implied that not even the developers could ever find it, and pointed out that any of the fans of the mod who ever tried were unsuccessful. I have played the campaign so I can make some educated guesses about what may be happening. A couple of people have said the bug does not happen without zone of recruitment. Is it possibly the opposing side trying to recruit an unfinished unit?

Sorry if I am getting this wrong. So your are basically saying it would require someone with above average modding knowledge and experience to fix it? That is really unfortunate. Could the bug at least be narrowed down and found to the point where someone who knew what they were doing could maybe fix it?

I am sorry because I have followed this mod and comments for awhile and I know you get bothered by questions like this, but have you ever considered recruiting someone you know could do the job for no other reason than for fixing this bug? There has to be someone out there who could fix it. There is just too many people who love this mod (myself included) that want to play the campaign for it to be left in there. I feel that it would provide closure for whatever is left of your development team as well in knowing that you made a mod with a working campaign, single player battles, and multiplayer battles. All the comment bickering could be put to rest, and you would not have to waste time arguing with people on them. Honestly the campaign crash is the only real rational criticism of this mod. I passionately disagree with people who say it is "incomplete" or "unplayable" and I especially disagree with the people who bother you and discredit all of your hard work. If I recall correctly you just did the graphics, but are you in contact with anyone who did the programming? At the very least could they even possibly point you in the right direction to finding a programmer who could? Please understand I am saying this as a fan trying to help you potentially find a way to fix this and not an angry ranting person who does not appreciate all the hard work that went into this amazing mod that I still love and enjoy.
