perhaps, I have the impression I'll revisit some of the art or animations in the future. That's kinda natural I guess.

Hello!
Yes, the sounds are original, created with the sfxr tool.
About KS, who knows? Maybe in the future.
:DDDD
Feedback please!
I was part of the 1st Generations team, for Quake 2. We were so sad when we couldn't proceed and got foxed by iD... :)
Thank you so much, I hope it gets better! :D
Yeah, I'm gonna put some special events in the caves, mini-bosses included :)
2 - I'd love to, of course!
ahhaha no need for that, it's free and it's just a little game with no big intentions. But I see what you did there!
yeah, so fai I've just pixeled the nature creatures, but we'll have skeletons, zombies and really weird ones coming along :)
Thanks!
I guess it will depend on the effect. I'm sure snow will be :)
hahaha it's an energy ray from the sky.
Yes to keys. About the puzzles it depends on how you see it. The player will obtain different abilities which will grant him access to certain previously innacessible areas (metroidvania?). More practical puzzles are also possible.
I don't know about this yet. Probably will test it in the future, I'm not sure.
Yeah, I'm keeping the game as random as possible without breaking it.
That's because the snail has a shell. But you're probably just be able to jump on an enemy thrusting the sword downwards. This isn't implemented yet.
I like the idea. I have a bandit/assassin campfire on my list. Your suggestion is a nice one too.
Yes, loot from fallen enemies and special items you'll have a lot of work to obtain.
Well, the answer for almost every question is "yes".
1 - yes, you'll interact with people like villagers.
2 - yes, I'll have hit effects (I'm focusing on the engine for a change, been a long time on the visuals).
3 - I don't know. I'm a new developer so the "I don't know if the game will be good enough" feeling is present.
4 - Sure thing, but the transition is strange also because of the screen capture software. When running the game it's very fast. The overall game is faster, BTW.
5 - Well, let's say that if it does have more it will probably be a surprise. And we haven't seen the inner areas like castles and dungeons yet.
6 - sure thing, that is just for testing purposes. This goes for anything regarding balance (how fast they kill or die, their number or the XP / health gain, for example).
7 - Yes, I'm polishing the story. Once I finish it I'll even rename the game.
8 - I don't know. It will depend on the story.
9 - Sure, and a nice visual effect too.
10 - If you're talking about the HUD and the title screen, certainly.
11 - Oh yeah. You should see my list. Some are very creepy, BTW.
12 - Nice one.
13 - Yes, that's for sure.
14 - Maybe, I'm pretty sure I'll revisit some graphics because they're improving with the time and the first ones will be a bit dated by then.
15 - You can bet on it.
Thanks man!
Nice questions, here we go:
1 - I'm looking forward to make weather effects. And some may be harmful if you're not properly equipped.
2 - Yes, I'm considering many deep underground features like traps, structures, hidden bosses and stuff like that.
3 - The castles, villages and etc will be accessible through doors.
4 - Yes, the enemies will be zone-specific. I'm just testing the entities for now, that's why they're everywhere :)
5 - Yeah, I'll probably change many of the sounds. Feedback is appreciated. But mind I'm looking for a retro feel, so don't expect top notch sounds.
6 - Yes, I created them using the sfxr tool, by DrPetter. He will be credited.
7 - Probably some early test version, but not at this moment, it's too raw.
8 - I'm planning lots of weapons. Some of them will be looted from enemies. But won't be dropped 100% of the time. Actually those items will have a random, not too common chance of appearing by killing regular enemies. I need to think a lot about this balancing.
9 - I'm really thinking about customization when creating your character.
Thanks as usual!
Nah, this isn't a building game, it's an adventure one! =)
Hi! Probably yes, I haven't decided on it completely yet. I guess it will depend on how complex the game turns out to be!
Even if it's not free it won't be expensive, that for sure :)))
Thanks a lot!
Yeah, I'll upload a video with the BG's and the first enemy in the next days!
Thanks for the support man!
Yeah, actually I think the randomness is the main feature in this game. My premise was: "What if a Monster World game had random worlds? It would add huge replay value to it!".
I have always been a Monster World fan.
Sure thing you can review it once I have something stable and more or less playable from an objective perspective.
You can have more info about the game in the earlier posts on my blog (link on the right column).
Thanks again!
It's final at this moment, but maybe not tomorrow :P
no problem!
I didn't think of a stats page, who knows?
Yes to map, no to mini-map!
Thanks!
Yeah, I'll implement an oxygen meter. Actually in the beginning the player won't be even able to dive, he'll float.
Yeah, world is random. Everytime you play it will be different. I'll have a start menu.
I couldn't understand the last 2 questions...
