It's done on purpose.

Before the civil war and the shattering, Dirim relied on his provinces to supply its auxiliary troops.

The bulk of their cavalry came from Pravar, their ranged (crossbowmen) and other very specialised troops were mountain mercenaries now known as Imifir.

Dirim is doomed to fall, and it's up to the player to try and save her or hasten her demise.

It's just another bug, you shouldn't be a vassal of a trading post! Maybe I need more than 3 months :D

Not a secret, I hope in 2 months or three at the most.

That's strange, this is the part of the game I've tested the most (to the point of exhaustion), maybe it's just hidden and you need to get close to the area for it to reappear (it's been years and maybe it's really a bug).

if that doesn't work, maybe you'll have to wait for version 0.9 or even 1.0 to get a decent game

Maybe you don't have enough money or men in your party to trigger that quest with the mercenary captain...

the only way to get factions troops is to join them as a vassal (to avoid picking the "best" troops from each faction)

if I remember correctly there's also : the old legionary who shows up if you join the empire, a mounted archer who you'll find in a southern city if you save a caravan, the kidnapped girl...
Anyway, you can create them later in the game, under certain conditions, by converting some of your elite troops into heroes

I haven't changed the native quests (yet?), so I'm afraid it's just another bug...

Anyway, I'm planning to remove these quests (they're good once or twice, but after a few playthroughs and mods I find them boring beyond belief)

I think there's quite a few brand new quests (main quests) that will show up later in the game ;)

in the meantime, I'd recommend recruiting a few dudes and heading out to help the faction(s) of your choice in their wars (you can join anyone in battle) : loots, prisoners, +skills, +relations +money to spend in tounments for more money...you know the drill.

No custom troop tree, but actually working on customizable elite guards to some extent in the next release.

You mean workshops? never thought about them, all my money is made in tournaments and battles. I find native quests and workshops extremely boring, it's nice when discovering the game, but it gets tedious.
This is also true for trade and I intend to change all this: your fief(s) will become the main source of money, no need to make velvet workshop everywhere, you can't do it anyway ;)!

There are only two other quests, The Phoenix quest (the one started by visiting the ruins) and the Pravar quest that is almost abandoned (you can start it by helping Pravar in battles...).

You can't start two quests that are opposite to each other (the first chosen quest cancels the others)

Hello, I don't know when, but I'm gonna take all the time possible to come up with something more complete.

This feature is not implemented yet, for now only the player and imifir AI can do that.

Hello and sorry for the late response

That deserves a little explanation:

I've changed a little bit the way lords fill their armies (they recruit directly from their garrisons, no more miraculous armies that pop after a bitter defeat...), so sometimes forts and manors will be too weak to defend themselves (the player could exploit this in his favor).

So I made sure that he can't declare his kingdom just by taking a castle! (in their eyes you are just another bandit). you can plunder it but not keep it ...

Currently the only way to create your own kingdom is either join one of the factions (and betray them, as usual) or go after the phoenix quest(the ruins).

Anyway, I'll fix all that in the next patch.

Thank you for the feedback.

These troops from the castle are cannon fodder, very easy to train, to maintain and to recruit in great number, so with mass-produced "cheap" equipment ...

You can join any fight to help your favourite faction, no need to be a mercenary :D

The mechanism to make "good lords" joining you (POP style ;) ) is not ready yet (the whole late game still not finished). Currently the only way to have vassals is to create them yourself!! (elite soldier becoming a companion, then a lord) I'm going to make a video to demonstrate how to do that :D

More troop diversity means more new armors and items = more textures and game assets = mod become heavy and resource intensive. But if you you mean diversity the kngdoms troop trees, I'm planning to make some adjustments...

"And why should we increase the relationship with lords in the first place? for me they are the enemy :D"

"And why be a mercenary instead of going directly to the vassal route and/or founding my own kingdom (quest for ruins). If it's for the weekly pay, simply win some tournaments and get rich."

That's the first thoughts that comes to my mind.

I must admit, this mod is designed for my own usage without taking into account other play styles. Sorry about that.
