Hello, my name is Frederik. Even though I'm not making mods, I love giving all the feedback I can give. Sometimes however, I do participate by doing music and general atmospheric background noise/sounds/music for games. Lately I've been doing some for the Black Mesa mod. I just joined the Undertone group, where I aim to put a new input into the mod scene. My music is not necesarilly full-length tracks. I aim to create bundles with a lot of atmospheric stuff for putting in the background in games.

Hi Kevin. This might be the first comment I'm posting on this website for more than a year or so.

I'm writing you because I think this is the most interesting project I've seen in several years in the "modding" community. I've read a lot of comments on this project through several websites, and there's some keypoints people have about things you need to change.

I disagree in just about all of it.

- The dark environment and setting is a perfect fit and is completely in match with the atmosphere you are trying to bring on. Very great, don't change it a bit.

- The FOV is great and seems to feel more realistic than lots of different shooters. I see the point here is to bring a completely cinematic experience, one that points the cinematic elements in a higher relevance than ease of play - very great.

- The chaotic scene and the structureless design is also a perfect fit, both in terms of sticking to the original scene from the movie and in terms of giving a sense of full anarchy on the frontline. I'd say stick to the flashy explosions and intense action you are providing.

- The overall design and attention to detail is somewhat far more realistic than what I've ever seen before in a computer game. You don't compromise textures, post-processing effects and animations in order to "fit in", and I like that. Everything's top-notch from environments to model-design. Pure beauty.

I'd say this has far more going for it than anything coming our way on the market right now, and I'm serious about that. I've played through a couple of your alpha builds, and I'd like to give you some very, very warm feedback for once.

Keep on doing this till the very end.

Hey this mod is awesome! Best experience I've had with a mod in quite a while. In my opinion, I think that the teamelement in the mod isn't implemented perfectly, it's like everyone are fighting their own war. For the next release, I hope to see some better integrity in the teams and more straight-forward objectives.

I don't think you should put that rockmusic in the trailer. For the action scene, I'd love that intense and spooky atmosphere the alarm gave it. With the music in the background it gets to be just another action game, atleast thats the feeling I got. Go for the spacy atmosphere you maintained before

Actually I've changed my mind, it really do depend on the game played. For instance, I think the speaking charracter worked amazing in Crysis. When inside the sphere, Nomad speaks to the team between his helmetcamera, it's really immersive, and you really feel like you are there with him.

Once again, I'm stuck, at the part with the TNT boxes, I've placed 2, and I've got no clue where to go next! This mod is the most awsome single player mod ever, but, as Henley said, it lacks direction from time to time. As good as it is, it's important to point out what could be even better.

It gains the experience of being the charracter when it's up to you to think up what's going on, I think. When a charracters speaks, a key part of the "you" is taken away from you, as it's not up to you to make decisions on your own - there's actually a guy talking like you. In a game like Half-Life 2, you're 100 % the main charracter. You feel like you are more "you". I voted for the "Doesn't talk - I find it creates more immersion"

Okay, first of all, the first Medal of Honors and the first Call of Duty wasn't that much longer, you were just younger and, less skilled. You'd be surprised as to how fast you would complete in in spite of how long you think it would last :). I remembered Half-Life to like last for half a year, but completed it in 6 hours or something, for instance :)

It's a very good, very detailed single player, with a lot of replaying value. The only thing I could put a finger on, is that there should be more gore. This really is a great game. Unfortunately, all the gridding **** in the level editor is really bad worked out. In times like this, we need a dynamic editor, and not this old Radiant Quake...****.

I think it looks great. I do however agree, that it might need some detailing. Maybe some lightning, and some entities around, to make it look a lot more characteristic. I do, however, think it's very great !

I have a very important question.
Will this mod work with v1.1? By that I mean, is v1.1 overwriting those config files? For instance, I know v1.1 makes changes in for instance the use of Motion Blur, which maybe could lead to those config files!
