There is also the fact that 227j is currently not compatible with the DX11 renderer that makes the game look a lot prettier. While this mod is. (And likely never will be, as the DX11 renderer author abandoned unreal 1 support due to some threats from epic games evil legal team who would prefer there old games to remain garbage never udpated)

Insanely buggy. Not recommended. Completely breaks the Fortress campaign, and probably every campaign in extremely obvious ways so you'd think the author would at least warn you it's just designed for skirmish mode.

But actually it completely breaks most skirmish maps too.

Insane amount of bugs, way more than the base game but just to note a few of the most critical:
Fortress campaign map 1: Completely breaks the AI, the elf faction never moves, but takes up ~15 seconds wasted of turn time everytime, also for some reason he has a level1 ivan with nothing stuck inside. I tried to proceed anyways to see what the mod does, and you just can't complete the mission no matter what as it breaks the rescue hero quest. Once you beat the slave camp, you get the Hero, but the quest does not update so the map is broken. I used cheat menu to go to the next map, also unplayable right from the start: Freak first town is floating in the area so you can't reach it.

And these floating towns apply to plenty skirmish maps too, thus it completely breaks the game.

Aside from that, the updated descriptions are around 20% broken/gibberish or in french (Author / team all seem to be no-english speaker, so their translated english descriptions are awful / bugged)

Stupid anyone would release a mod this broken with basically no testing and not at least tag it a alpha.

Anyways yea avoid this like the plague. Plenty of other large scale mods now available for Heroes 7 you could try instead.

2. You give your average modder too much credit. We don't all understand the UDK/UE3/H7 tool set well enough to do this. I consider myself a pretty good modder and while I'm sure I could figure it out, it would take some me many hours, while you I bet under 30min.
3. There would be zero reason to maintain the uplay artifacts fix. Once it's done, it's done for life and i'm sure over the months/years, may people would be thankful.

There is a really long thread on the first page of the steam discussions where all the ubisoft idiotic support ppl keep replying, oh yea everyone has those unlocked.. (Yet they work for no one)

Personally don't need it since I like your mod, just thinking for others.

RE: Pre order files, looking at SteamDB, there is indeed a separate depot for pre order owners, so yea, if the files dont exist, we're screwed unless we can find a pre order owner to send them over to you.

Though I have a feeling they are all the same files, just perhaps the encrypted pak's only reveal the pre order artifacts to those with the right subscription (DRM).

Awesome. I think I found a moonblade on one of the first 3 Fortress campaign maps, so think it's working.

I think it would be awesome if you could release a mod with just those 6 added, for the purist that just would like to get back there uplay reward the jerks at ubi took away from us.

And perhaps the 2 pre order ones you identified, though if you can't identify if the stats are meant to be the same in this game as in H6, some may not want them.

Councillor's available in Skirmish, yes I see them:
Tanis (Academy) Yes, though doesn't look like any of the portraits to me.
Kente (Stronghold) Yes, doesn't match portraits.
Murazel (Haven) Yea guess she is meant to be the angelic looking one. (3rd pic)
Anastaya (Necro) Yea pretty clear 1st one is an alternate of her.

So perhaps the pre-order unlocked these heroes for custom games and gave them alternate portraits?

Or we're they always unlocked? Don't recall.

Oh yea and leadership/destiny trees: Really overpowered.
+10/+20/+30 = +60 alone before any artifacts or buffs.. And the games still capped at 50 for luck so it's pretty overkill.

Plus it destroys the point of artifacts/spells that lower luck in the campaigns, because enemies heroes that have this, usually have 70+, thus -10 or -20 from artifact/spell still has no effect.

UCP/7.5 made this a bit better by increasing the cap to 75, you should too. I'd also suggest the destiny be as it actually reads in the tooltips (yea they are messedup, lots are): +10/+10/+10. So 30 from the skill, than you can get the other 45 from artifacts/spells.

Question, since this is a content restoration..
Does/can it restore the uplay reward artifacts? We can't unlock them anymore because ubisoft is evil and disabled uplay club almost 2 years ago.. All options just greyed out , but can/have you re-enabled them? I'm not sure what 6 they were. And for the campaign? (Tooltip says for custom games only, but it says that for all the unlocks that don't work)

Also the pre order artifacts and heroes, have they been restored?

Been playing with this since 7.5 is ULTRA buggy, made the Fortress campaign completely broken, literally can't win the first map as it broke the rescue from slave camp quest (and breaks the AI, and many other things)

So switched to this instead and has worked good, up to map 4. No major game breaking bugs. (Plenty of bugs, but most of them are probably vanilla ones)

Seems pretty good, main feedback just the damage spell boosts are a bit too strong, seems to have made map 4 of fortress campaign fairly trivial since you get a hero who can cast 2 fire spells a day, than his fire bolt can be upgraded for the massive DoT.. And that's really the only spell they give you, and all you need with the boosts.

Maybe tone it down a bit, so it's more like the base game at low magic, and scales up stronger at the top end. (on map 3 with my lvl40 hero it was also completely OP, but than again so is everything in that map so it just kinda fit).

Awesome.
Better than the newer "ERP" release since this older version works with Polymer.

Not sure why the new release breaks that, trade off doesn't seem worth it. (Also not a fan of the voxel models so would be nicer to just have 2 seperate packages with and without for ease of install)

It's not compatible with the oldweapons mutator. Which I realized earlier.. You end up with duplicate weapons later in the game, some of which are bugged and wont fire (eightball), the others lacking the upgrades you made.
