Hey Putrid Pete,

I ended up uninstalling, reinstalling my drivers before, winding back to a much earlier version I think if memory serves the 3rd most recent iteration, and for some reason, I get a much better result, very slight stuttering on the intro and none in game?! I am trying to decipher if I roll back even further, will the outcome be better still?

Please if as you say, you have similar specs to me and therefore obviously running the latest nvidia drivers, can you try an earlier version as, I initially thought this was potentially being caused by a driver update or, a conflict between having it installed both via gog and Steam and having the renderer in DX11?

Seemingly this is not the case and although I appreciate this is clearly a rare scenario, it must be in my opinion something to do with the changes made in the most recent updates?!

I am now its as easy as deleting some files in the system folder, going to go even further back and I hope that the older versions do not get removed as in what ever updates that have been made, there clearly is, something causing an issue somewhere?

Like I say, please can you try going back to the earliest version and just going until you encounter problems and I will do the same, that way we can perhaps provide feedback to the developer what could be causing this issue for a select few, unfortunately!!

Hi,

I recently did a new install of UT 99 and in installing this updated version of the DX11 renderer, I am seeing micro stuttering both in the intro and, in game? It very well, may be my machine? I had, it installed.both, via gog and Steam at the same time and, thought it may be to do with that? So, uninstalled both and reinstalled the gog version, and in installing this newer version, the micro stuttering began?! My Specs are GTX 1080 16gb RAM and i5 6600k @ 3.5ghz. I did have this working fine and then the micro stuttering began?

Any help, would be most welcome, looks brilliant, plays not very well? Could it be to do with still having saved games, from previous installs? As not entirely sure, where they are kept?

Hey Hoover,

I am so very impressed with the turnaround of the 1k version of your textures, especially given the issues you have been faced with lately!!! Many thanks for looking at this, from me especially, given that I only asked what the reaon for the slowdown was a few weeks back. Yes, it is there in parts, but not EVERY time a new switch is thrown etc. I only hope as youv'e stated yourself, the GZDoom developers recognise this trait and in a future update, manage to iron this out!! All the very best man, I hope your improving (health wise) every day!!!

Hi,

I LOVE your work and it for the most part, looks and runs superb!! However, despite running an Oc'd MSI GTX 1080 and an Oc'd Core i5 6600k with 16gb of DDR4 I get frame rate drops when entering new areas or flicking a switch etc!? I have checked and pre cached textures is on in the settings and am therefore at a loss!? I have for now reverted back to what I would say are standard HD textures whereby I dont have FPS drops irrespective of whats going on!? If you could please or anyone else for that matter please give any advice on how to avoid this and prevent it from happening, Id be very grateful!!!!

Hi, is there a problem with the amount of death dealt out when looking at the percentage rate at the end of a level? Only I have played both Hangar Doom and Entryway Doom II several times, annihilated everybody and the death toll doesn't add up to 100%!? I played the April release and this does add up all the deaths as you'd expect?! Many thanks!!!
