There are few ships that the show designed and even fewer were actually seen in the show. You can't make a Sins of a Solar Empire type strategy game or full modification with 2-3 ship designs and 1-2 stations so many are fan based or SGI designs.

There is no date for the Wraith release yet but that faction will likely be next. The general plan is that the current factions receive completed textures first before we move to releasing the next one.

The Goa'uld are currently missing one of their defining abilities, reinforcements. That ability will be available on the Ha'tak in particular allowing them to call in 2 additional Ha'taks when under heavy fire. It's still experimental and some things don't quite work yet, that's why it hasn't been implemented. Assuming the issues are solvable, that should improve the Goa'uld faction survival chances.

The Asuran capital ships and Titans can become very powerful with level increases due to their shield mitigation level improvements. Atlantis in particular has massive tanking capability on higher levels. Adding to the mitigation, that Titan has the ability to recharge itself with the ZPM, which would make the current Goa'uld hard pressed to take on a high level Atlantis. It shouldn't reach above 100% mitigation though so please mention it if you see a ship that has this issue.

Thanks for the compliments, much appreciated. Right now, the focus is on finalizing the texturing system and completing the current faction ships/textures. There is no definite release date for the next faction. The most current version of the mod is on GitHub though and the Moddb version will be updated from time to time.

You can download the GitHub version instead, that issue should be fixed there.

A few things might be causing this. Either you are using Moddb and GitHub versions concurrently (these aren't compatible for multiplayer), you downloaded the mod at different times and got different versions (we updated the Moddb version at least once since release, the GitHub versions aren't the same (we update this quite often), or the download didn't work for one or both of you.

The best thing for both of you to do is download the mod again but only from Moddb or only from GitHub. Don't use these two versions together since they will almost always have different checksums.

As far as I know the Sokar titan was fixed, download the mod again and see if that fixes things. If it doesn't, post again and we'll take another look at it.

Probably 1.85 and above but it's better to use the latest version. We only test for the latest game version.

We will definitely look into this but texturing take precedent for Ace_Fighter and myself atm.

If one of you is using GitHub and the other is downloading it from Moddb then you would have different checksums. Alternatively, the download could have failed somehow. Both of you need to use either GitHub or the Moddb version since these mod versions are not multiplayer compatible. If you use GitHub, be aware that we update it so the checksum will change whenever we do this, both of you will have to update to the latest version to insure it has the same mod state. The Moddb version should have the same checksum if the download worked.

We have 3 Starbases planned for the Asurans. A mobile one does sound interesting. Currently only one partial model exists so those other two models will have to be designed and built. Main focus is on texturing atm, reworking the existing designs/models so they can be textured without issues.

The lag does seem to happen but not for everyone. I haven't seen this issue myself, especially not on my desktop even though my CPU is old (i5-2500k). There were some changes to fighters to improve performance though and we'll look further into other optimizations as we go forward.

Those textures are not complete yet. The Goa'uld themselves have mainly quick textures, something I whipped up in a short time so we don't have the same gray placeholder textures issue for them as the other factions. The focus now will be to texture the remaining models for these factions before putting together the next one.

This SGI mod version is not compatible with 1.82, it might work on 1.85 and above but we do our testing only on the latest version of Sins.

No worries, the GitHub build is our dev build, it'll remain in text format. The binning is for this Moddb version only, it's meant mainly for people that just want to play the mod. It'll be a while before the mod is actually finished, too early to worry about a final version;)

The Goa'uld received quick textures for all available ships and stations so you shouldn't be seeing Goa'uld models without textures, unless I missed something. There are however ships that haven't yet been textured for the other factions which would have our gray placeholder textures. Now that the Goa'uld are released, the focus will shift towards texturing these three available factions before we move on to the next one to be released.

If you are already using GitHub you don't need to download the Moddb versin, the GitHub version is the one we work on so it will always be more up to date than this Moddb package.

FYI, the two versions are not compatibe for multiplayer since they will have different mod checkums. The benefit of the Moddb version is that it is binned and should load faster as well as taking up less space on disk but it will always be less up to date than the GitHub version since we won't be packaging the mod again for each change we make on GitHub, that'll probably happen about once a month.

Thank's for the info, we'll look into this. The speed issue is probably due to the Ha'tel if it's part of the fleet. That'll be fixed today for the GitHub version.

The Orion Class is not using the same model as the one above. That's the Hero Aurora model in the image and it's not yet available in a normal game. It is uploaded to GitHub though and you could probably spawn in in Dev mode.

For crashes, we need info in order to troubleshoot. Best to enable the log in your settings and provide this after a crash, that might help us find the issue. Best to join the SGI Discord channel and post your log file in the technicalsupport section. That's the quickest way to notify us of any issues.

All is on thrack. The Goa'uld beta unlock is planned for the 10th of February. We will also provide a binned version of the mod in it's current state here on Moddb which will be updated from time to time, probably about once a month or so. As before though, if you want the most up to date version of SGI, you can get it through GitHub.

We're already maxed out with the current factions so a playable Ori faction is unlikely in the near future. There is one slot left for a playable faction though so who knows, maybe something to consider far down the line;) The Ori have literally just two ship designs from the show (Mothership and Fighter) though so the amount of design work necessary to make them into a fully fleshed out faction would be considerable.

The Human Frigate factory should not be white. Either you are missing a texture/s or there's another issue. Make sure that you disable team colors in the game options, SGI is not meant to be played with team colors enabled as we don't use them and some of the older models can cause issues when this 0ption is enabled

Yes, the Asurans will be textured although this will happen after the Goa'uld release. I'm currently working on the first live material that will be made with the texturing system. It'll be for the Human Concordia model and other Asgard inspired designs. Join our Discord channel to get more up to date news as we post there regularly.

The core programs we use are MODO for modeling and Substance Painter/Designer for texturing, some Photoshop as well. If you are interested in modding Sins you'll also need Softimage XSI for the final setup.
