If I was in charge I would have told the SJW fascists of both doomworld/zdoom to go **** themselves, but sadly I am not in charge; 100% total agreement with you on everything you've said so far.

I just want it to be known that not ALL of the devs are behind this decision.

Dude I'm one of the main devs, and agree with everyhing you said - I NEVER believed we should have listened to the morons at doomworld, and I stand by the uncensored version in all it's glory!

UPDATES:

Most of the major enemies have now been sorted, currently working with associates on making the weapons and balancing the gameplay out.

A techdemo will be released for playtesting if anyone is interested, hopefully within a month - note that this will only be a techdemo.

Mainly due to the fact that I want to create my own vision that's separate from Wolfenstein, but still borrows heavily from it. Rather than be tied down to any set 'Wolfenstein' universe, I'd much prefer to just make interesting levels based around the setting of killing Nazis in unique environments.

Have decided to change the name of the project as well as it's original intention: this mod will now be a series of levels, each based on a particular theme relating to a setting often found in various Nazi pulp fiction novels of exploitation films from the 1970s (i.e. Escape from Nazi Castle, Nazi Moon base, Nazi Laboratory, etc).

There will be no particular plot as such, just a series of levels with vastly different themes from one another.

The level architecture is just too complex for Zdoom I'm afraid. Much as I'd like to make this for Zdoom, it just creates too many leaks in game.

Hey folks, sorry for lack of updates.

There's going to be a bit of a major change to some aspects with regards to how this mod is being made. I am abandoning a few things and adding in new ones (mainly removing 3D objects and working exclusively with sprites - I figure if I wanted to use true 3D objects I'd make a mod for Quake. Besides, it's the charm of sprites which drew me to Doom to begin with).

Don't worry, I've not abandoned the project... I AM JUST SLOW.

My main editing machine has completely broken down, and I'm going to have to put the project on hold for a bit as a result.

All the work has been backed up, so nothing has been lost.

Castle Wolfenstein is more or less finished now.

Just adding in details/lighting/polyobjects + enemies now.

Should be finished in a few days for playtesting.

Have done a TON of level design in the past 48 hours.

Got a bit of a dilema: the guy who was doing the Sprites seems to have vanished, and I've not heard from him in MONTHS.

Need to find an alternative or make do with modified Wolfenstein Sprites for the Demo... hmmm...

There is always that sinking feeling that when one doesn't post anything with regards updates, that a project is 'abandoned'. However I don't mod for a living, and do so for leisure - as I hope most people do.

I am almost done with the 'castle' level of this mod, and will be releasing it as soon as it is 'polished' and I have various other non-level aspects finished.

Work is going slowly, as it does for any part-time project. I often have to take time away from level design, in order to relax and come back to it and find new possibilities.
