You want the 'Vanilla' folder to have the 40gb PAK file, while being in: ...\steamapps\common\Battlefleet Gothic Armada II\BattlefleetGothic2\Content\Paks
Send me a pm on discord if it's still causing trouble and I can troubleshoot it with you^

Hey lucinator, to add a new mod just copy it's .pkg file into the Mod Managers mods folder at: ..\ModManager\Games\BFG2\Mods
PAK files are used for game resources and aren't a mod in their own right. The process will become a lot more simple with the next update!

To open them simply just drag and drop the .pkg file onto the 'PKGtool.exe' tool - it functions just like a zip file :)

Hey Petroschkaa, there will be soon with the new toolkit :)
It merges the faction editor with other modding programs.

Hey there!
The Manager should be all set up when first run.
If it can't find the game path you can do it manually (as you've done) to ...\steamapps\common\Battlefleet Gothic Armada II\BattlefleetGothic2.exe
You can launch the game as normal or from the Mod Manager (either work!).
All installing mods does is temporarily replace and add game files (until you un-install it, where it restores a back-up of the original files).
If the game is running but mods do not appear after being installed:
>Check that you've done the Vanilla folder step correctly (creating a folder and moving the Pak file inside it)
>See if moving the Mod Manager to the same drive helps

If nothing is working join the linked discord above and we can help troubleshoot : )

-PLEASE NOTE: THE FOLDERS CONTAINING THE MOD KIT SHOULD NOT HAVE SPACES IN THEIR NAME OR THE SCRIPTS WILL NOT WORK
Thanks :)

Hey there, what sort of system are you running?
You should beable to just download and unzip the folder, then run the Mod Manager exe

Hey Vitamin-J, that's what the Modding toolkits (2 versions available under files) are for : )
The template is only for adding custom models/resources.

Thanks for the heads up, adding it to the mod Manager is pretty easy!
I've packaged his new version into the drive storage (you can download and paste into your launcher)
The Mod Manager has also been updated with the new Mod versions.
Hope that helps : )

That error message means you have moved or placed the .pak file incorrectly.
In your game folder under 'Paks' there should be a 40GB .pak file, simply create a Folder called 'Vanilla' and move (not delete) the pak file into it

The Mod Manager comes pre-packaged and doesn't need to be installed^
Simply just download the zip folder, then extract it somewhere on your PC. Open up the .exe file to start the program.
For mods to work on your install there is an additional step required (if you've never used mods before).

A guide to installing Python and Crypto to run the Tool-packs scripts can be found on the wiki here: Bfga2.wikidot.com
Also note that some of the scripts need to be updated, I will be releasing a new version of the toolpack tomorrow.

The base mod manager comes with 7 mods installed, all of the mod files can also be downloaded individually here:
Drive.google.com
(Paste them into the mods folder ...\ModManager\Games\BFG2\Mods)
