I've gotten this mod to work on Win 10 using the C&C Ultimate Collection from Origin. Step 1: Install Generals & Zero Hour using Origin. Step 2: Download and install a new Zero Hour launcher from Bibber.eu Step 3: Install ROTR 1.85 and 1.86 Update. Step 4: Enjoy!

The problem is that I am not able to post at all at this point. I already enjoy reading the topics, but I would like the opportunity to respond to certain ones. I'm happy to hear that they are aware of the problem.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've tried using a different e-mail address and I've resent the validation e-mail multiple times but nothing ever shows up. It would be greatly appreciated if someone on the SWR Forum could help.

My SWR.net games all mismatch within the first 5 seconds of the game. I have the SWR.net patch, I run the game as administrator, I can see people in the lobby and join games, but after the game starts it lags and mismatches in a few seconds. Is there anything I can do?

Do you have "High Textures" and "Max Particles" for your graphic options? I used to have the game crash in the middle when I only used average textures and average particles. Since I maxed both these settings out, crashes have become almost non-existent. I don't know if this will work for you, but it seems to have helped in my case.

Right click on the ROTR Launcher (the desktop shortcut), select "properties". A new window will open. Select the "Compatibility" tab. Then check the box "Run this program as an administrator". Click "Apply".

That worked for me, I hope it works for you.

1) Are you sure you have DirectX 8.1 or higher? (I assume you do, but can't hurt to ask)
2) Have you tried running the ROTR launcher using different Operating System compatibility settings? (Look in the "Compatibility" tab, just above where you checked the box "Run this program as an administrator"). I've had this resolve issues with other mods.

Try setting the graphic options to display High Textures and Max particles. Version 1.802 used to always crash for me around that time, until I maxed out the Texture and Particle sliders. I don't know if it'll work in your case, but it's worth a shot.

You can also right click on the launcher and then press "Properties". This will open a separate window. In the new window select the "Compatibility" tab at the top and then click the box marked "Run this program as an administrator". Then click "Apply". I don't know if this will work for you, but this worked for me and at least one other person. I wish you all the best in trying to make this program run.

If that doesn't work, I would also suggest trying different OS settings (i.e. Running it as Windows XP compatible). This is also under the "Compatibility" tab.

Under "Options" you can select "Custom" option under the "Detail" menu. This allows you to select advanced graphic options. Check to see if your "Textures" and "Particles" are set to High Resolution and Max Particles (Set them as high as they can go). I mention this because I used to get a crash to desktop followed by a serious error message (particularly after calling in the Spectre Gunship!) However, after I changed those settings ROTR stopped crashing all the time. I don't know if it'll help you, but it's probably worth a shot.

You are not missing an executable file. My folder looks the same and the game runs fine. I know you mentioned running as an admin, but do you do that simply by right-clicking and selecting "Run as administrator" or do you open ROTR185_Lnchr "Properties", and select "Run this program as an administrator" under the "Compatibility" tab and then click "Apply"?

The ECA do not have a transport helicopter of any kind.

Try "Run as Administrator". Right-click on the Rise of the Reds shortcut on your desktop, select "Properties", click on the "Compatibility" tab at the top of the window which opens, check the box "Run this program as an administrator," click on the "Apply" button at the bottom of the window, click on Okay.

To all the people who worked on this mod: Thank you! You have done amazing things with this game. Your creativity and dedication are top-notch. I hope to meet you on the field of battle (SWR.Net style).

I have the exact same problem come up. I'm pretty sure it's related to Windows 7. If anyone has found a solution it would be much appreciated if you'd share it; otherwise I'll just have to hope that a patch fixes the issue.

Really impressive. I was hoping that the laser paladin would get an update. Personally I like the large barrel for the laser. If it was a cannon or other munition based weapon I'd think it was too large, but for a laser, a big old barrel makes more sense.
