*In a Scottish accent*: Captain! We have to get CTA installed into the main computer! If we dont the ship wont have enough power to fire the phasers at those Klingon bastards!

Voted for ya. I just wana say that I only discovered this mod like a week ago, and it was the deciding factor in me buying Sins: Rebellion. I am in love with this mod! Im quite a fan of Fleet Operations, but this mod is even better I think. I worship the greatness of the developers of this mod, and I want to have your babies :P

I cant wait for the 'A call to arms' update (Long live the Cardassian Empire! I always loved the Cardies, and I never liked those backwards religious Mumbo Jumbo Bajorans lol). I pray that development of this mod doesnt stop with 'A call to arms' update... PLEASE!

Great work once again! You devs are truely greatest people to have ever lived this side of the quadrant! :D

supporting this mod team so as to try and get them to finish the dam mod after 7+ years, is like trying to flog a dead donkey so as to get it to kick.

dude i really want to see this mod released, beta, alpha whatever. but it aint gona happen, this mod is dead in my books. i got better things to play.

i think we have more hope of EA releasing a proper tiberium game, than seeing this mod released.

flame me, give me negative karma whatever but thats the way i feel, and i think im justified in saying that, and im sure many many ppl feel the same about this mod.

"There are separate categories for best UPCOMING mod" Oh please, this mod has been in development for more than 7 years, and still doesnt seem anymore likey to be released this year or next, than it did in 2009 and 2010. this mod is hardly 'UPCOMING', 'UPCOMING' in my books means its between 1 year and 3 months away from being released. this mod is not 'UPCOMING'.

"This will draw more attention to it and the mod will benefit from this", you know what will draw attention to this mod, more than voting? ill tell you, ANY SORT OF RELEASE, be it alpha, beta whatever.

"alot of fans might help to speed up the production since the developers feel that they always need something new to show the fans and to satisfy their demands", easy solution to that, RELEASE A DEMO OF SOME SORT. that will grow the fan base big time, and satisfy our demands.

just like i said last year this time. this mod is not getting my vote until a playable demo/alpha/beta is released. until that happens, no vote...

do single patches of tiberium spread (like a cell or two of tiberium from a destroyed silo)?

i have a question. does tiberium spread and grow correctly in this mod? because in the unmodded game, tiberium would grow and spread but then just stop for the rest of the game after like 10min...(really hated that) so is this problem fixed in this mod?

what only 60% after 7 years of development!!!! thats ridiculous! thus by calulation it will take another 4.66 years to complete it!!!!

do the math: zero hour was released in 2003, which is more or less the time when development on TSR started. 2010 - 2003 = 7. you say the mod is 60% done thus the total development time is 7/0.6 = 11.66. time left to complete is thus 11.66 - 7 = 4.6666.

really! really! guys come on! this mod is becoming more and more like the mod equivalent of vaporware...

oh stop nit-picking lukson. let them just get the dam thing done already, so we can all enjoy playing this great mod, the longer they work on these minor details the longer we have to wait for a release. let the poor men just do their work. they can do stuff like this after they have released.

nod intelligence has noticed that the pace of tiberian sun rising development has picked up significantly lately. this leads nod intelligence to believe that it may release fairly soon... perhaps by christmas or new years eve... could this intellence be correct? AssassinCS???

reposting this coz i didnt get a reply and its slowly fading into the past pages.

i got 3 questions. 1) will nod be able to havest veins for the chemical missile?

2) what creatures can be spawned by chemical missile when infantry die from it(assuming the chem missile is in the mod)

3) what weapons will nod have its disposal for proliferating(ie spreading) tiberium on the map?

ok cool, i got no problems with that. but i think you would be able to go over your "very large quantities of tiberium" limit, because pc hardware is alot more than what it used to be when C&C3 was first released. for instance a 2.4 dual core, a 8800gts and 2gb ram used to practically give you ultra graphics but now gamers have more power than that as standard(hell i recently just got gtx460). so id say uv still got alot of headroom to play with...

ah i see. in my view a pod is just one little plant thing with crystals coming out of it. where as a patch/cell is lots of little plants/pods with each having its own little crystals coming out...

would it be possible for you rather make it pod by pod? so that it would be according to lore? it would also give the tiberium a more realistic spread and allow for denser fields of tiberium. just an idea, im just focusing on the details of it here.

but tiberian sun didnt spread tiberium pod by pod, it spread patch by patch???(im pretty sure of this)

when looking at Moddb.com screenshot, i noticed something about the tiberium that i just wanted to ask you. does the tiberium spread pod by pod or patch by patch(patch = a collection of about 5 pods or so)? coz if you guys have got it spreading pod by pod then ill be very impressed, coz thats exactly how it should spread according to lore(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tgb4D1IrYGw&feature=related). so have you guys got it spreading pod by pod? coz that seems to be the case in the screenshot if you look carefully(i could be wrong tho)

could we perhaps see some more info and screenies on the dynamic tiberium enviroment. perhaps a description of how the tiberium environment will spawn viceriods etc, if a player can wield the tiberium environment against his/her enemy (even tho a player has no control over it), how it alter the battlefield(not the ion storm part, but like will areas of the map with heavy dense concentrations of tiberium be impassable: for instance if you send units into them they wont come out again coz they would have been destroyed by viceriods etc?) thx.

keep up the good work, i have faith in you all.

Hirraken im 100% behind you with everything you said. i really wonder sometimes why EA decided to make C&C into what C&C3 and C&C4 are. i can only think of two reasons:

1) they didnt research tiberian sun and tiberian dawn enough to understand what really made the game great. ie play all the westwood games, talk to ex-westwood devs, talk to the fans (and im telling you now they didnt talk to the fans, or they ignored them).

2) they didnt know what the hell they where doing, just fetched some ideas out the 'bin of ideas', slapped on new graphics, got joe kucan to do some cinematics and then went to sell it and crossed their fingers that they got it right.

basically all that EA needed to do was ask themselves one question "what would westwood do?". and they didnt do that.

sure ok, C&C3, i can let that maybe fly and not criticize it. coz it was still somewhat to the westwood formula.

in terms of C&C4: sure i bet alot of ppl liked it and thought it was fun, and thats fine and dandy. but its not command and conquer. it should rather have been called "some-other rts game" but not command and conquer and hence not feature anything related to NOD/GDI or tiberium.

i can get into a whole debate about what made tib dawn and tib sun so great, but that would be a 100 page or more essay.
