I'd say don't give up on your mod, converting entirely to RA2 might be a bit ambitious, but it doesn't hurt to try. The SC2 modding community needs more TC mods, as I haven't seen anything yet.

There are two really big advantages to using SC2 now - first off is the maps marketplace blizzard has planned.

Secondly, the modding potential of SC2 is miles ahead of the latest C&C titles (RA3, C&C4), it just gives us SO many more options and freedoms to use SC2.

You might be interested in it though, our mod for SC2 is pretty darn inspired by C&C games, as I am a massive fan.

Do appreciate the heads up, but we're not modifying anything we're not supposed to.

This is done through Blizzard's data editor, we have a custom .mod file in place. No illegal editing required

And that's the thing, SC2 is infinitely easier to produce mods for than the latest C&C games (RA3, CNC4). It's too bad really :/

Just a fun little teaser... we've got a pretty large project in the works for Starcraft II. I just sent in the project page for approval from moddb so hopefully in a couple of days it'll be up and running, I'll throw a link up!

Since abandoning CR I've been cooking up ideas - and building a proper mod team (so it's not just me working this time).

Really nice looking models.. not sure why so many people are freaking out because this is an actual unique and original mod. Yeah maybe fantasy creatures in C&C doesn't make much sense, but its a free mod. Creativity like this should be encouraged.

Hey guys, I am really sorry to disappoint. I ran out of time last summer, school started and unfortunately I just couldn't get it all done. It's been basically a year since I've been on here so apologies for the massive delay in news.

I really appreciate the contributions some of you have made, they haven't gone unnoticed. With that being said, if anybody cares, I still have all the maps. The first mission was mostly finished, the 2nd nearly finished, and the others in various states of unfinished-ness. If anybody would like them, let me know! Thanks guys

That would be pretty hilarious... but the sheer size of the CN Tower compared to other base structures just wouldn't work. In the Toronto mission the CN Tower does have an important role though!

@cloakeddk: The Niagara Falls map is based on the real Niagara Falls. I use Google maps to get the layouts accurate, and I've been there many times in person so I know the general feel of the area. The map is pretty accurate, and will include a couple of landmarks like the Skylon Tower, and of course the Falls themselves.

5 missions is pretty short I won't deny that. Ideally I'd have an epic 15 mission campaign but that just isn't realistic for one guy to create unfortunately. I really want these missions to be very high quality, and I also want this to be released and finished in the next couple of months. I could have done a ton of poorly scripted missions that are sortof fun, but I want to do this properly!

The Avro Arrow will be in. I'm hoping to cram in as many Canadian references as I can, whether it is a unit, map objective, storyline, anything really.

And hey even if you can't do any technical modding stuff, ideas are always welcome!

Thanks for the heads up guys, I've got the SDK. First version of the mod is up and running... I have changed the name of the Soviet Attack Bear to "Polar Bear" in-game - not much, but progress is progress!

Anderwin: The map is new, as are all the maps in the pictures. We need the RA3 Mod SDK in order to put new units in-game. These pictures are part of a newspost I have submitted, just waiting for it to be "approved".

marsionman: Thanks, I tried to make these pictures look like "spy satellite" images, used for recom and explaining mission objectives once this is released.

As simburgur mentioned, I'm waiting for the RA3 modding SDK to be released before I can make any changes to the game (new units, etc). For the time being, I am focusing mostly on creating the maps and scripting the missions.

Colorado: there are a couple of models underway, but nothing finished yet. Starting next week I will begin a big push to get the models done. I'm working on this at a relatively relaxed pace, but the first mission - Alaska (as can be seen in the screenshots) is basically done and ready to go.

WorldOfHurt: Now that you mention it, it does look like those effects were photoshopped in. They aren't, however. Those are the in-game effects, they look that way because the map is set during nighttime but lighting changes don't affect the appearance of particle fx. It doesn't look as weird in-game when everything is moving though!

The attack beavers is a very cool idea, but like Kerensky said, would be a better fit as a dolphin-like unit. I definitely like that idea.

Very cool, would love to see that actually "harvestable" in game though. I know it was possible in C&C: Generals, through some fancy map scripting you could make resource fields somewhat plausible.

Quick update guys, I realise it is kind of hard to follow a mod that does not post news updates! I was hoping to have some good stuff to show you today, but the screenshots I had hoped to use are all on my computer at home, I forgot to e-mail them to myself. I am in Florida this week so unfortunately the update will have to wait until next week. In addition to a couple new screenshots, I will hopefully have a pretty hilarious video/trailer to show you guys!

In the meantime, however, check out two new shots I have posted up in the screenshots section. Thanks guys.

Hey guys, my apologies for the lack of updates! Being a one-man team, progress isn't particularly fast, and I don't like to make newsposts just for the sake of a news post. With that being said, however, I've got some new stuff to show that I'll put up in a couple days. These are all stock RA3 units being used for this first batch of screenshots. The red coloured team will be Canada (Allies remain blue, Soviets will be orange, Empire will be white). Canada will share many of the same units as the Allies so you can expect some crossover. Once the SDK is released, future screenshots will show Canada-specific units!
