What is the new weapon included in this fix?? Doesnt this fix crash alot, something i've heard from others..

I got a problem on Chapter 8, when I just killed the Antlion Guard.
Then the Vortigaunt says that I should gather the bugbait. But I cant find any bugbait, I've looked all over the beach and even inside the dead Antlion, and I have not revieved any bugbait from the Vortigaunt. And I have to get the bugbait to continue the mission. This is wierd. So Maybe this is a problem you can fix, maybe a new patch can be made. Please help me with this problem. :)
