In this case, the cliff can also provide a strategic advantage to someone who hides units/buildings up there using helicopters/carryalls. Making it accessible by normal means would just make the map more complex than is necessary, and it would be very ugly filled with impassable terrain.

A fried of mine has the same problem... What operating system are you running? What DPI settings are you using? Does the screen refresh if you alt-tab to the desktop and then back to the game?
