Dawn of the Tiberium Age (DTA) is a stand-alone mod that combines Tiberian Dawn (C&C 95) and Red Alert. While classic mode gets as close to the original game-play and balance as possible, Enhanced mode provides improved game balance and a lot of fun new stuff. DTA features many customization options for Skirmish and multiplayer (where you can play as GDI, Nod, Allies and Soviet on over 200 maps), challenging original singleplayer missions, as well as co-op missions. Since this is a stand-alone mod, you don't require anything but the mod itself to be able to play: the original game is not required.

Uh oh, there will be arty, flamethrowers, chinooks and we only get 2 MLRS... it's going to be hard, I must ensure they will be elited fast and micromanage them well

Isn't this the mission where the civilians wander around into the Tiberium randomly and die making you fail because of that?
Yes. It's very unlikely to happen in this version, though.
In original CnC I tried to shield them with sandbags. They even imrpoved the mission in CnC Remastered (I think some civilians were trigger happy). Don't know about this one now - can't wait to play this!!
My tactic was also to set up my base in the village and block the civilians off with sandbags. Hasn't been necessary here though, this is a good example of bad design in the TD campaign that we've fixed :)
