Hi Wesp!
I hate to be a bother about the issue I previously mentioned, but it looks like after the change made to the windows in the tutorial, all the tutorial windows are showing up very red.

Hi Wesp!
I think there may be an issue in the Tutorial map: in the warehouse where you fight the two thugs, the top of the walls furthest from the elevator seem to have no texture and just be holes, rather than displaying the window textures that are meant to be there. It's so high that I suppose a lot of people wouldn't notice it, but I thought it was worth mentioning!

Edit: Here are some links to the warehouse gaps

There were a few moments that were pretty universally causing issues. When Lacroix's enforcers kick down the door, the sound of the door being kicked in stuttered for a second; Lacroix's speech when Skelter leans in to whisper to Nines would hitch; and it would hitch again he concludes his speech to the crowd, on the word "significance" in the sentence "I hope their significance is not lost".
However, while trying a few things to fix it, I noticed the weirdest thing: after disabling compatibility mode (Windows 98 / Me) for the executable, it seems to run smoother. I tried it with both a clean install (with UP+) and my more modded version, and noticed that I got a stutter around the word "significance" again, but beyond that it was much smoother.
I recorded the intro while Compatibility Mode was running, but unless you wish for me to send through a link to the video I'll go ahead and make a video with it off to show you what issues remain, if that's alright?

I'm running an i5 with a Geforce 1660TI with the 4gb patch to get as much memory running, but the intro just doesn't seem to play well on my machine. Sometimes it's relatively smooth, while other times it's slow and has audio freezes at particular moments.
I noticed some people commenting on the Steam forums about this, but all the solutions they suggested don't seem to have solved all of the lag.

That's odd, must just be on my end. I'm already running it in compatibility mode, but that's just lessened my systems stuttering and audio lags. Bloodlines is a great game, but it definitely doesn't like running on newer systems :/

That's true, the bare wall did look pretty bad, but I had noticed either in an earlier edition or a mod like Camarilla Edition that the curtain was a brighter, more noticeable red.

I've also encountered way more stuttering in the most recent Unofficial Patch opening scene than the other mods from my mod loader. I even went as far as to use the map file from Clan Quest and Camarilla Edition in place of the UP to test it, and there wasn't a single stutter or audio freeze during the opening scene. Is this a known issue?

While I was playing through the game, I noticed that the back curtain at the back of the stage in the theatre is incredibly dark. Is this intentional? I turned the gamma way up and noticed it was slightly red, but it was effectively black when I played through without the blown-out gamma.

I understand that, sorry if I came across as rude or anything, I was just trying to explain why I wanted to see the difference between all the NPCs - so I can determine which ones I personally would like to use / not use.
I actually created a separate directory for Extreme from a copy of Unofficial Patch, so I could see the changes with and without the textures without overriding anything from the main file. While doing so, I noticed that a lot of the textures of the terrain became very large; the doors would be a single solid colour or , the "Exit" signs would far too large for the door. Are these types of bugs known? If not, I have some images I could upload for reference.

Thanks for the reply! I was mainly wondering about the changes made to character models, as I like some of the changes (like the Gargoyle and Hengeyokai) but some of the changes are too far from the original look of the characters (like Fat Larry and Sweeper, who I personally prefer as they were). I was wondering about the changes made to Andrei and Lacroix in particular, as they are pretty major characters that appear again and again throughout the story, so it'd be nice to know what changes were made to them :)

Hi! I was wondering if it would be possible to get more before / after photos for the texture changes that this mod makes? It's always nice to understand the severity of the changes, and how each model has been improved upon.

Had this issue as well. I found that - in general - any of the occult items you may have that affect your stats / discipline duration can cause crashes and freezes - especially while going through that portal. I was never able to test if dropping the items would allow the portal to work, because I only found out about it after I'd gotten frustrated with the mod and uninstalled it.

I tried it myself, and I couldn't. The furthest you can get along the questline is to the point where Knox gets you the book and you have to cover for him. However, to complete the quest you need to hand the book over to Beckett, which you can only do when you see him again at Venture Tower after getting the sarcophagus from the Giovanni. As such, Beckett cannot be encountered again if you join the Sabbat.

Yeah, my persuasion is a 7 and I couldn't convince him to leave, only lower his gun. I did figure out the whole thing about the financial papers though - you have to enter the instance with an intelligence of 3 and a finance of 4 in order to see anything more than a bunch of spreadsheets. That's what happened for me anyway.

I'm having an issue during the quest "In The Name of Hazel" when confronting Lyle, the real estate developer. On the walkthrough, it states that you can pacify him by using persuasion, intimidation, or certain disciplines, and make him leave town with a slightly higher version of those same skills. While I had no problem with the first check, I couldn't seem to make him leave town peacefully via persuasion, even after I bumped my it up to 10. I raised my (considerably lower) intimidation skill up as well to see if there was an issue with that, but I was able to intimidate him into leaving fine.
Was the persuasion check that's mentioned on the walkthrough not implemented, or is this a bug? I'm mainly concerned because I can't really afford the humanity loss of killing him because of all the diablerie I have planned.

Okay, fair enough haha. I also encountered that histories that change the cost of humanity purchases - usually ones that increase the cost like "Highway Drifer" - also reset the humanity cost to what the history would set it at.

Yeah, I agree, probably best they can't use fully fledged dominate in dialogue, even if just against the ghosts. It makes the Ventrue feel way more unique and distinct if they are the only ones that have access to full dominate in dialogue. I was just checking so I could determine which clans I wanted to play for my next runthroughs. I'm in the midst of doing a Gangrel who's going to join the Sabbat, and I'll probably do a Tremere that remains with the Camarilla next time, then a Ventrue who sides with the Sabbat after that.

Also, something that just dawned on me - as Tremere only get access to a limited version of Dominate in dialogue, can they not use it to subsume the spirits of Kindred when diablerising them? Is that an ability reserved only for the Ventrue?

Well, at least when I tested the Toreador before, they were still able to purchase humanity at their normal discounted rate. I guess that probably has something to do with it being one of their clan benefits?

Okay, that's good to know! Should the Toreador also not be able to?

Loving the mod! Just wondering, for almost all the clans I've looked at (save Toreador) the cost of raising humanity is always 100XP, regardless of what rank I am at. Is this an intentional effect because of the new diablerie / humanity system?

Great to see an update, downloading it now! Just wondering though, I already have 1.4 installed via mod-loader on my system. Is there anything specific I need to do to update when installing this version? I don't want to accidentally botch all my other mods I have installed as well.

Haha it is tempting. Just wondering something about the diablerie system - with all these new opportunities to gain extra disciplines, is there any risk of overloading the game engine or anything, having access to potentially so many disciplines on one character?

This may be due to the environmental effects setting in the options. With that turned on, all the voices in the game take on a strange ghostly effect, as if they're being double layered. If this is what you're talking about, just pop open the options and turn "Environmental Effects" off, as it doesn't really seem to do anything else anyway.

That was... incredible!
The quality of the audio and voice acting is the best I've ever heard from any mod. I've been checking for updates regularly, and I'm glad to see this is going strong!
A small question: will the interactions with Sabbat members from previous clan quests (namely Lorenzo from the Ventrue one) have any impact / changes now that the Sabbat are going to feature much more prominently in this update?
Love the mod, keep up the great work! Can't wait to play it again when the update comes out on Halloween or whenever it's finished.

Hey, is there any chance that you'll implement an option when installing the mod to include the final version of the Camarilla Edition? I really enjoy playing with some of the additions implemented in the final version (mainly the email college, among other things) and would love to be able to use them along side the Clan Quest mod. I understand that people may prefer to play the slimmed down version of CE, but I'm sure that I'm not the only one that would appreciate the inclusion of the full final edition as well. Either way, keep up the great work on this mod, this mod's my favourite way to play VTMB.
