What's cooler is that you can have a say in the next Build release. Just drop by the forums and tell us what you'd like :3 Or make your own additions to the game.
And needs to be reuploaded. Again. If you want the little probability of encountering a steam ship on the high seas (late period games only)
Just so you have something to read while the big download finishes...
You'll have to reinstall without ticking the two graphics options.
It does increase performance as the full install contains compressed textures for many larger ships and locations.
Once again the ENB is experimental and is intended to increase graphics quality at the cost of performance. SwiftShader is specifically for integrated Intel graphics (the game can't run otherwise).
If you've any crashes or abnormalities with the game post it on our forums. We also require assistance with gameplay "thoughts and feelings" and of course, publicity.
FYI steam frigates are late period only, rare encounterable vessel and may be purchased as a class 3 navy ship (letter of marque and naval rank required).
For anyone who has tried the beta, do report any issues and concerns large and small on our forums.
Good to see our progress documented;
Point of clarification - French Battle Frigate ("Acheron") texture was a combined effort by Oskar94 and Takeda-One here:
Forum.piratesahoy.net
I applied the custom bow decor and steam frigate's nationalistic emblems on the paddlewheel after Takeda-One finalised the hull texture. The deck used in the finalised "United States type" late 18th to early 19th-Century battle frigate is of course from the "Weathered Constitution" project by KroKoDyl here:
Prior to this collaborative effort we have SuperChango creating a temporary skin in scarlet livery for the steam frigate.
New Horizons beta, full install version (1.5gb + ) should be available by this time tomorrow. Do check back then.
Please note that the installer gives you two choices of alternative renderers but the descriptions appear to be reversed. These are experimental (Swiftshader to fix Intel graphics card issues and ENB a more advanced renderer) so for best results, stick to the standard mode (no graphics options checked) unless you're in a beta test mood.
It must be the boffins at steam prop lab being serious about captioning their photos again.
You are quite correct. NH is a whole different beast from that console game of 2003!
Oh and you haven't seen my tartane with a Honda outboard yet...
It's about time to do a Build Beta feature!
Pieter:
Might want to add a link to our tweets on the mod summary at the top. Make the links to the forum and website larger too. It should be the first place people go for more info.
And perhaps trim that juggernaut of a mod description down a bit to focus on the cumulative effect of all the million or so mini-mods integrated.

Got a maritime or naval warfare related tweet? Look me up and I'll write you some articles..
Oh your English is fine. Thank you for the kind remarks :3
POTC is a singleplayer roleplaying game; it depends on what you like, really.
Thanks for the feedback; Pieter should have addressed your queries by now;
There's a lot to be done in the manual, which may just hit 2-300 pages when complete.
Be sure, your comments would be taken into consideration. For posterity, here's the manual project's discussion area:

it will get even better :3
Yay, I am not the only one posting!
Looks WAY better than East India Trading Company.. and that's a huge compliment for a 5 year old engine!
OMG. Is that the next POTC movie! No seriously, that antialiasing and glow effect is just spectacular.
I'm flying English colours for the transit past Jamaica.
I shall post additional videos and screenshots shortly..
