Progress is still there, but going relatively slow. Summer is a slow time around the mod unfortunately but we are still working. There just hasn't been much progress made that would make a good looking update for you guys.

Oh yes. We are still working on it. I am just about finished with the map I've been working on for some time. Vehicles arestill being made, skins updated, tons of new props and equipment.

There is still a lot of life left in the mod. Just be patient.

As the update says, the release date is unclear. A lot of work is being done, a lot of it is stuff that isn't worthy of constant updates, but there is plenty of work being completed.

The guys want to make sure it's in a complete and polished state for release.

I can't speak for the team leaders, but I think we are okay right now. I am working on a map that I think you guys will love. It's been a little slow going, as I'm new to the team, but I really hope it will live up to the Khe-Sanh hype.

Let me address your concerns one by one. First, I had no idea you were the mapper of Khe Sanh for the other mod, and I don't want to give you the impression I am ripping off your work. But unfortunately as you said, there are no accurate / close up photos of the ammo dump. I certainly have taken some inspiration from you (you are one of the best mappers I've seen in a long time), but also the old World at War Vietnam mod (hence the container heaviness). It was also stated in a Khe Sanh documentary that a lot of the ordinance before the siege was brought in via C130 and other airlifts and it was delivered via containers.

As for your other concerns - Everything you see is a work in progress. Unfortunately we don't have a modeler on our team. We don't have the luxury of new entities and textures. Every time we get something new I have to outsource it. The artillery positions are similar because as I said, I have taken a lot of inspiration from you. And this isn't to rip you off or discount the amazing work you've done, it's just a placeholder until we can get entities that suit our mod more. Everything you see is a work in progress my friend.

I think you'll find once I am done with the map, and have adjusted everything, once we have our new entities and textures, etc. the maps won't be so similar as to where you feel cheated. But I think you do an amazing job and with a project as massive as Khe Sanh I took heavy inspiration.

I hope this alleviates some of your concerns, and you'll just have to trust that in the final product this map will show more flavor of our own mod. Unfortunately for the moment I am just working with what I have and there will be a lot of similarities because we are both working on the same engine, in the same time period, on the same map.

That's fine. We have work being done on the French Indochina Era, just not enough that we feel like we can showcase it at the moment.

Appreciate the kind words, unfortunately if we do ever decide to port the mod to CTA it will be a long, long, long ways out. The CTA engine is very fickle and it's incredibly tedious to keep updated.

Glad to hear it! Work is coming along slowly but the mod still lives. I just put out an update for you guys.
