I always make frequent backups of all my modded data so when an update comes and replaces the mod files I can replace them with the most up to date version of the mod. You do lose some progress but if you make back ups frequently enough it shouldn't be to bad.

Awsome! It's just a bummer it got discontinued, though I perfectly understand, no point in continuing something that is being made officialy. Great job on the mod as is though, it would have been amazing!

The way the male and female villager worked was with two separate but similar units. Basically, there is two separate village units with the same abilities but different graphics. So you can make a copy of the unit and add different graphics to one. Good luck!

Nice! Unfortunately, I am not the guy to ask for that, as I know nothing about AI and will likely ask others for help with the ai for my mod. However, you could try here:http://aok.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/forums/display.cgi?action=t&fn=28

best of luck!

Are you thinking of starting your own mod?

Thanks! The main programs are Turtle Editor, which allows you to edit the graphics and other asset files of the game, and Advanced Genie Editor 3, which allows you to edit all the data of the game. With the two combined, you can do almost anything you want to the game! You can get both from the AOK Heaven site, along with many other very helpful tutorials and discussions pages. I also use Gimp alot to edit/ create graphics, and I recently used sketchup and blender to create the European Fort.

Amazing! I was playing L'aigle just the other day and was hoping you would update the village menus, looks like my wish came true! It's better than I expected, can't wait for the new big update.

All Native Civs receive the lancer and archer, and the two plains native civs, the Commanche and the Lakota, receive Unique cavalry units. The Commanche get the Quahadi, a Cavalry with bonus against buildings (Reflecting their very violent nature) and the Lakota are a more economic civ. (I am still not sure which one will receive the rifle cavalry)

Thanks! I already have two native cavalry units planned - A lancer and an archer. The rifle cavalry will likely be the Lakota unique unit. Only problem is I have searched all over for graphics for them to no avail :/ Thanks again!

I figured it out! For some odd reason the xml files were not replacing the xmb files, so I used aom ed to convert the proto, stringtable, and techtree xmls to xmbs and it worked! Now I can truly appreciate the mod. And I must say it is awesome, great work! I love some of the buildings especially, they look so close to the originals! I also like the broad swordsman. Anyways thanks for pointing me in the direction of the right files! And great mod!

Also, on top of the previous mentioned errors, the names of ages, buildings, and civillizations remain unchanged:/

This mod is awesome!!! I can't wait for the final version, it is nostalgia overload lol. One thing though, why are the stone age town centre bone arches SO thick? In the original, the arches were quite thin, and here they are really thick lol.

Also, I have found a game breaking glitch. I started a skirmish as the Babylonians as I know they are more complete than any other Civ, but when I start the game, I have no villagers, and the icons remain un changed :/ ANy idea what is wrong? Did I mess up with the installation?

Wow! I had stopped following this mod for a while, thinking it was dead, and just recently started playing it again. I decided to check here to see if there was any progress, and was amazed when I saw there was, and it looks amazing! I couldn't believe those were pictures of Warband lol. Keep up the AMAZING work Docm30! I just want to say, I couldn't care less when it gets released, just as long as it does. It's better to take a long time and get an amazing mod then to rush it for the sake of people begging you to finish and getting a crappy mod. I can't wait!

Thanks! :D That is one of the main reasons I am making this mod, to bring the time and features of AOE3 into the better game of AOE2.

Oh, and Native embassies are both European and Native, but the Europeans only get one upgrade per unit, where as natives receive a second upgrade.
