This is amazing and terribly underrated.
Just wondering - is there any way to just experiment with the HD map textures on their own, keeping AD vanilla otherwise?
Thanks!!

Thanks. I have an older Mac desktop so I wasn’t sure it would run anyway. I tried Arx Neuralis and it lagged noticeably. I don’t know if this mod would be more demanding.
Congratulations on your mod and thanks for all your hard work.
This isn't relevant to most people, but I tried to get this to work with Arx Libertatis on my mac (which works), but this got a crash with: "Loading Level "graph/levels/level10/level10.dlf" and "Segmentation fault: 11"
Glad this keeps getting better. Awesome work
Hey, you have a new fan. I hope you keep up the good work. I think it's really cool you're trying to use original models, sounds, and textures from Shogo, and I also like some of the models you created and the sense that you are adding to the game. I'll be following your mod.
Ha, well it seems I don't have that as an option in my Settings either! I don't think I have the new menus, although I do see things for HDTP and such.
I have the same issue. I tried fiddling with the .ini files but nothing yet.
Yeah, it's confusing. I got the demo to work fine over a year ago. Not sure what changed or if I'm making a mistake. I'm not particularly a Wine genius, but I definitely wasn't back then either.
First of all, congratulations on the release!
If anyone gets this working on Mac OSX, let me know!
My game crashes on the opening scene, using the mostly the same advice someone supplied for the GOG version, but going through wine and using a windows XP friendly version of kentie's launcher.
Thanks, I suppose so, but I think Wine is really elegant, especially for older games (basically all I play now), and like I said I had the demo running almost perfectly. I've played many mods through Wine including the hd mod for quake, quake ii berserker, and Thief.
I meant to upvote your comment but I downvoted by accident which you can't undo apparently. I wasn't aware you could do all that with bootcamp.
That's a good strategy, but I hope there's an easier way to get the game to work on Apple computers.
Just wanted to show support and say I'm looking forward to this. Apparently it should've been more obvious that Deus Ex fans would be more attracted to conspiracy than any idea that the game will be released soon.
Also, has anyone had the chance to test the full version using Wine? I had almost complete success with the demo.
Well done on your mod, you've given this game a new life!
Both the tracks are great and superior to the originals. I don't agree the wan chai market music should be traditionalist; it was important to reinvent Hong Kong and its sound through the themes of the game and, in that spirit, maybe become even more ambient and new agey. That the influences of traditional music show through represents the new merging with the old. The track as it is now is very floaty and airy, as opposed to new york which has a certain headiness and forward movement to it. These reflect possible themes underlying the main narrative and diversify its emotional range.
