Okay then, I looked at those textures for you, and I made autumn-style PDA maps too, so they stay consistent with the Red Line textures.
The OG games had guides, which are a lot more immersive fast travel points. They are absolutely necessary to cut down on running back-and-forth especially when doing side quests and fetch quests.
- Very scripted linear knock-out simulator with a so-so story that ends with a cliffhanger and crazy plot armor for the main character "Axe". It has its moments, though but nothing special.
- The voice acting is surprisingly good, except for the main character, who sounds bored the entire game.
- Generic modern, clean, boxy UI, not rusty enough to be called a STALKER UI, but the 3D view of mutants in the Beastiary is a nice touch.
- Almost non-existent A-life. You barely see any mutants or stalkers respawn throughout the entire
playthrough or any dynamic events.
- The AI is dumb; they're oblivious to getting shot from long range or when their comrades die RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM, but they WILL shoot you through bushes with relative ease.
- The HD hands in first person are inconsistent with various armors with default models.
- Bad gunplay requires you to put five or more bullets (including AP ammo) into someone's head even with
no helmet because every gun that's not a VSS/VAL or a shotgun with darts is a peashooter.
- Weapon inertia makes aiming weapons sluggish and annoying, but it can be disabled.
- There are no subtitles for campfire jokes or regular voice lines. As a non-Russian speaker who BARELY speaks Russian, I feel like that's a missed opportunity.
- There's no "guide" to do fast travel with. Half the game is just running back and forth combined with fetch quests. Better bulk up on some energy drinks and Hercules, preferably an artifact with stamina-boosting properties.
The only redeeming parts of this mod are:
- The graphics
- The gunslinger weapon pack
- One completely new map
- The expansions to older maps with stuff like the floating houses in Cordon, the helicopter graves in Garbage, and the open hangars in Rostok that were previously inaccessible. It gives these old locations a breath of fresh air, and it does raise standards in that department.
Overall I rate it "Not great, not terrible" out of ten.
What has changed? I hope the green trees and bushes are fixed with your texture pack.
And another that makes them go full alert when someone shoots at them from long range
Amazing work! Definitely looks much better than what I could make. :D
Should be working fine since it only replaces textures
Put the folder directly into the main directory, where the game's .exe is
Yes, it only changes textures
extract the files into the main directory
yeah lets turn on aimbots at elite difficulty
Failed Changing Screen Resolution error in both methods
Failed Changing Screen Resolution error in both methods
Pretty sure it works fine for 1.5.1 because these are only textures
It only decreased visual recoil
Things like walk_power or walk_weight_power
1. bleeding speed
2. Healing speed of bleeding
3. Minimum bleeding severity
If I recall correctly
You can unpack them with AXRToolset at DB tool
Put the "db" folder in the main directory
Should be in the basegame
It should have been like this from the very beginning of Stalker :D
