A confusing yet refreshingly new way of interpreting Deus Ex's open ended quality. Some levels are like a maze, systematically intertwining into a tidy mess. Sometimes I didn't know where to go and had to familiarize myself by circling 2 or 3 times since some parts are barely distinct from each other. Lockpicks and multitools are a bit too scarce for my taste, occasionally broke my immersion. The story though, especially nearing the end, is very well thought out. You know a game is good when it gives you hard choices that does impact figuratively (us the players) and literally (in game).
Nailed the ambience of the levels, to the point that I forgot I was playing a Deus Ex Mod. Negative or positive depends on how you interpret it. Personally it's a plus for me. Story, not so much, but in the range of acceptable. It felt like a rip off from Deus Ex's already established lore. Gameplay, I especially loved the drone and bot. I used them a lot. Flexibility of choices, objectively rigid, only some choices matter, but still a pass from me. It's obviously not the main appeal of this mod. I give this mod a biased 10.
Has the closest feeling to a Deus Ex game. Parts that need grandeur really hit the spot, and some others are minimalistic yet deliver. Despite what others say I think the story fits quite nicely with the lore. My only complain is technical : you can't play in bigger resolutions for an extended period of time or else you will lag hard.
4 for a free mod, 2 for a Deus Ex mod, 6 for a one man project. I'd pick fun and short over needlessly long and empty mod any day.
