The mod despertly search for a expirient but most of all dedicated scripter/coder to :
1) Fix errors in the curent scripts.
2) Create new scripts such Dynasty changes, Religion changes, Rebelions from "Shadow" factions.
3) Create the finall recruitment system for all Islamic Factions (previews of those will follow in the near future).
4) Create the recruitment system for all Slavic Factions that their rosters will be completed.
Finally we need an IWTE expert. PM me here or in TWC if you are interested or you have someone that does interest.

Thank you for you kind words. The issue here is that the mod after 15 years of development will die if it wont find scripters/coders and most of all IWTE tool experts.

I have comp0leted a 798 turn test. Besides some acliliary and titles CTDs and random ones that game creates the game had no actuall issue . In fact most CTDs were created untill turn 125 but afater that CTDs were realy rare. Most script events worked exept two ones and that is why we need a scripter . At this stage we finallising the Islamic Rosters (see the pictures of the common Arabic warrior consept).That will allow us delete 5-6 cloned units and add 5-6 uniqie ones (according to each faction). The next stage 0.98D will be the finallising the Slavic rosters. Some slav warriors you can find in the Rus roster and in Pechenegs one. But There will be a larget number of "common" Slavic warriors that will belong to Rus, Serbia, Great Moravia ,as mercenaries and as rebels. When this stage will be done Unique Slavic units will be added to Great Moravia and Serbia. The finall stage before the 1.0 Beta Release will be the re-construction of the Bulgarian roster because it uses the oldest models/textures and its shasow faction. I have some battle ending crashes and also random CTDs because our map is too heavy. Now our scripters work in the transformation of East Frankia to Ottonian Empire known also as HRE and teh transformention of Magyars to Hungarians via events. Stay tuned more to come.

The biggest step for the 0.98C version has started.... Ussing Koultouras' creatn units for all factions that ended up with some dublicated units ,textures etc I am happy to announce that all comon Arab origin units creations has been started.
The quide is what we did with Roman comon bodies of Scutatoi, Kontaratoi, Menaulatoi etc... A basic 4-5 bodies model that with changed weapons will replace all the dublicate units changing the texture colors and ussing one comon normal map texture. The Arabic names of the comon units will become from the Cretan roster in their UI cards derscription texts. The player will have to distinquish his own troops by the colot of their turbans, tunics , banners and waist sashes and the dominate colors of their shields.
In general (despite the fact hat Green is Islam's official color):

Crete = Green
Tulunids = Light Brown
Achlabids = Dark Brown
Khalbids = Blue
Fatimids = Red/Pink
Abbasids= Black
Rebels = Grey

Solution for Mac users that have constant hotseat notifications every turn by will19011.

You must go to the normal config file while is not in the steamapps/med2 folder as it would be on Windows.

The file is in users/username/library/applicationsupport/feralinteractive/med2/vfs/local/preferences/medieval2.preference.cfg

I copied the hotseat parameters from the TGC.cfg file and replaced the ones in the medieval2.preference.cfg file and now it works normally. No hotseat notification at the start of a campaign and none at the beginning of a turn.

You must also check "unlock all factions" in the Feral Interactive MED2 launcher.

Thanks for the help and hopefully this will help others as well.

The Armenian Nobles (1st unit in the preview) and the Armenian Borderguards will be available as AOR units (local population representatives) for Romans and Abbasids in 3 regions. They wont be mercenaries in the accurate term of the word. They represent the Armenian population. Such units named "local" represent the local population in every region of the mod's map. Actually before the player force his culture only local population units (mostly peasant type ones) will be available.

Estinmated progress of TGC mod.
build 0.98c [open beta]will puplished with in the next 1-2 weeks - contains updated lombards, new units for papal_state, venice and armenian subfaction. alot more scripts, fixes and improvements, switched culture greek/romaic - to many to name it
build 0.98d will have the Lombard portraits and the finall Islamic rosters
build 0.98e will have islamic potrtraits and the finall Serbian and Great Moravian rosters plus all the "Slavic rebels" that will be comon for the regions Croatia, Serbia, Rus etc live
build 0.98f will have eastern_european and Rus potraits and the Normans and Croatians polishing
build 0.98g will have all foreign mods models remade by TGC's standards
Finally build 0.99a open beta will have Bulgarian final roster with its shadow faction also made, UI cards and portraits
1.0 beta we will try to fix any scripts , find and remake UI cards TGC style of units that do not use such

First we want to make sure that everything runs smootly. The new build will have a coplete recruitment system of Venice , Papacy, East Frankia, Croatia, Pechenegs, Rus, Romans, Lombards and Bulgarians. Also shadow factions aka scripted rebelions will be added for East Frankia, Bulgaria, Rus etc. New misions for all factions. The next major step will be the Islamic Roster re-done because it uses cloned and unnessesary placeholder units. That action will take some time. In our beta in TWC my campaign is in 499th turn. But in the new beta versions many new scripts will be added. Voices and letter fonts for example will be the last additions. First we want to have a fully -as posible- playbale mod.

Venice was an autonomus region of the Roman (Byzantine) empire since 1204!
The city was on the crossroad of the Frankish , Lombard and Roman influences in all matters , including the weaponry. Take attention on the helmet in the closest horseman. In the bottom is a byzantine crested helmet but the upper part reminds the lombard woolen hoods.

If you refer to play a campaign you must press the faction you wish and press the lombard faction icon to un-select it because the mod starts that way. It starts with Lombards in default choice. So press the button of faction you wish utill it will light up in its background and un select Lombards. If by unlocking factions you mean Normans, HRE, Fatimids or Turcomanic leaque then you have to wait. TGC was made as an educational playable tool. You can not have Ottonians in 872 AD you have to start with the Franks and survive untill Otto I will coronated. That is history. In the future there will be two minor campaigns "The strugle for Italy" and the "Strugle for Middle East" that will start in around 1000 AD. That way Ottonians, Turcomans, Normans will be available from the start.

The cap of the Phrygian type ('camelaucium'), worn by the soldier represents a felt version of the metallic helmet and remains a constant of Venetian equipment until the 13th century. The weapon is a simple spear, even though the equipment shows the patron's wealth of this 'servus' and is the result of the commercial contacts with the Empire capital.

No...We have reached data 0.93 batch 01.We still add new events, fixing script errors and add new units. The factions are completly ready are: Kiev Rus, Roman Empire and its shadow sub faction, Lombards (they may need some model polishing because their models are too old), East Frankia and HRE tha will replace it, Magyars and Hungary that will replace them, Pechenegs, Emirate of Crete, Bylgarian Empire (new models wil be made), Normans, Turcomanic Confederation, Croatia, Great Moravia and Serbia are half made but also half made are 4 other islamic factions. The mod includes dynastic changes, faction changes , local population units, AOR system units , mercenaries that you must build Inn in order to recruit them (like in MTW-1)...
