To be honest - it took me like 10 minutes to pinpoint this typo EVEN you explicitly showed the specific line. And I code daily. It speaks more about evils of external string literals than anything.

I'm glad post author found it but I don't think it's a prudent idea to hold this particular mistake against the developer; many games we love is full of similar ones - this one was just extra unfortunate.

As far as I remember there were some issues with including it but I can't recall what kind exactly. If you feel like doing it, then you can always copy&paste; this texture from standard package of this pack (tho I suspect texture names are different)

Sorry for that Firesaw. It seems that some mods use non-native UV layouts for trees and it makes these textures incompatible/messed up. Still, you can fix this by deleting this problematic texture file (trees?.dds or something) and replacing it with original one from this particular mod.

PS: Let me know what mod it is so I'll make dedicated download (without this one texture).

Hi Blackthorne556. I played 1257AD with using this texture-pack some time ago and everything seemed fine back then. Well screenshots visible in gallery here were made on low-end video settings - so that's probably it (?)
White textures on trees - I never seen this so I must investigate this to figure out what's happening there.

For some reason these reflections are visible only when anti-aliasing is disabled.
I'm not even surprised because they work in absurdly hack-y way.

NOTE FOR MODDERS in case you want to modify these textures: To make everything more alive I treated mipmaps as separate textures renderer blends between. So - before editing make sure you are loading them with whole mipmap set (there is a checkbox for that in DDS plugin's dialog screen). And when saving them again remember to check "Use existing mipmaps".
If your DDS dialog box isn't showing up then you need to reset this option in windows registry.

No new game needed - only exit and close game and then just unzip and copy these DDS textures to folder:

\Steam\steamapps\common\MountBlade Warband\Modules\Native\Textures

or into:

...\Modules\ mod name \Textures

After playing some more today I just can't wait to be able to craft and build things! Learning curve isn't there yet but game has real interesting potential.

After another next 15 minutes my sailors run out of food (morale was still excellent :)) still found no land... and then most exciting event - game crushed :D

After next 15 minutes I sailed... and sailed... and nothing happened. Imho game should maybe communicate more where I can find any new land and where probably not to sail?
Besides that game look interesting (reminds me SM's Colonizaiton)
