People have a horrifically glorified vision of art. Art is anything crafted. It isn't some kind of epic thing that can appeal to everyone on any level, or something with a message or anything, it's just something that has been executed by someone who has a skill in something.

Somewhere along the way this became an idea that art was something that only the best or most visionary in a field can do and only art that "advances" something is worthwhile.

While I do think that constructive criticism is fine and dandy, despite your words I don't think yours is terribly constructive. Which games is this like? What are the tired aspects of it? By what metric do you determine trying hard enough?

I don't think any part of your comment would a) help the developer improve the game in any way or b) give me any clue as to why I might or might not enjoy this game.

Is there an option to invert the y-axis in the alpha version? I played the demo, I'm interested but I can't handle a non-inverted y-axis.
