All very good suggestions. I'd love to see some of the micro and 20th Century factions fleshed out into full armies, too.

Some good colour images of the uniforms in use:

I made this suggestion some time ago on your fsegames.eu forums - and because I'd like to see more foreign powers and some international colour for line battles and hosted events, I thought I'd mention it again:

The answer for a possible edition to your excellent mod, aside from a few cosmetic touches, such as uniform and weapon textures, and the addition of 'Vivandière' as medics for the French, is quite obvious; the Second Mexican Empire!! It was created by the Mexican Congress with the support of Napoleon III of France, who attempted to establish a monarchist ally in the American Continent. You could include both the uniforms and regiments of the Imperialist faction, as well as the Republican rebels who staunchly resisted the French and the Emperor of Mexico, the Austrian Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian.

While I really like the new direction, I feel that adding only Britain and the Micro Factions was a bit of a lost opportunity. The hint at having Qing China or the Boers got me excited, but do you plan on eventually expanding the Micro Factions into full-blown ones for organised events? Not having the Second Mexican Empire also seems a lost opportunity, given the colour and splendour of the foreign regiments of the Imperialists or the native Republican units. But great work on the Red Cross and getting this one out in time for Christmas! Hope you guys have a great year.

*Sigh* Yes, I know that they were racist in the past. But the 'Backwood Mexicunts' isn't exactly RP.

Though some people will argue the point and say that the Native factions are 'op', I do think that the draw time on bows is a little excessive. Also, would it be possible to allow an Admin or Server Host to somehow lock the faction names? It's a little disheartening to come online and see some of the horribly racist or inappropriate names that they get changed to in the dead of night.

While Australia's contribution to WWI remains small compared to that of the European Powers on the Western Front and elsewhere in Europe, they did play a significant role along with India in the Middle Eastern theatre against the Turks. Given the size of the population in Australia at time, the contribution to the Mesopotamian campaign was proportionally very high.

It's not really a 'World War' if you don't include some international colour in the form of Colonial Units, at least, or indepedent factions at best. Australia, New Zealand and India played an important role in the Middle Eastern theatre, as well as manning sections of line on the Western Front, and Canada played an even bigger role than that. So if we are going to omit *anyone* it should be the Yanks, who didn't enter the war until 1917 - and even then not in significant numbers until the following year.

G'day Harry,

I'm not sure if you would remember me, as it has been a while since I've logged into Steam or on here. Anyway, it has been a pretty eventful last few months. Work has again played it's part, along with ill health in the family and myself getting into a... 'medium-speed' collision on the way to work one morning. So, yeah. Fun, fun stuff. But you're a darn capable sort. So if you still need any help with plants etc., or a sounding board for ideas, let me know.

I agree. The new Warband DLC was a bit of a disappointment, to be honest. Their models and skins look crude and quite rushed in comparison. 'L'Aigle' is definitely one of my 'most watched' mods on here.

I've always been rather partial to the pepperboxes, even if they did have a tendency to misfire.

'Bail Up' is the first MOD that has seen me excited enough to sign up for an account here on Mod DB. It is an interesting period (to be working with) and unique among the other MODs that I have seen. I would probably shift it back by about 40 years to 1850s or 60s, to take full advantage of the Goldrush period in both Victoria and New South Wales, when transportation was still in force, along with the Gold Escorts, which would make attractive and challenging targets as they wander about the map. Although I have no experience as a programmer, I would be more than happy to offer any assistance I can render in my capacity as a researcher and writer, should you need it.

This is an excellent idea on a theme that is very close to my heart (I am currently working on a book covering the same period). So, I wish you good luck! The screens already look great. I cannot wait to see the end product.
