It's already been confirmed that some rogue one content will appear in this mod, eventually.

Hey HEROIC team,

I know you've all been busy lately but is there any news on the mod?

Sounds promising, i personally think it would add something extra to the game.

I'm sure you and the team have all thought about the subject in more detail but if you need any more ideas let us know.

Heroic,

Just me again with yet another question. Sorry, i seem to be bombarding you with them, however this will be the last for some time!

Have you any intention to spice up the space station aspect of the game? I have always found the space station system very lacking and limited in this game, i was wondering if you share this feeling?

I was thinking if there could be a way during the single player campaign to build different types of space stations. The first tech level space station would be the standard outpost but after that if it were possible to upgrade and branch out into different types of stations, each with individual models...

For example a military station based on the scarif planetary shield station. Pros would include more weapons, hard points, shields and fighter squadrons. Cons would include not being able to build larger/capital ships, less credit income.

Ship building station, Pros would include being able to build all levels of ships, faster build times, cheaper costs. Cons would include less defenses.

Economic station....well you get the general idea of where i'm going with this. It could add a whole new layer of strategy to the game and make it more interesting. Obviously i imagine it would take a lot of work to implement and i'm not even sure if would be possible. If i remember from the thrawns revenge mod they did something different with space stations but not quite as complex.

Thanks again for taking the time to read and even reply.

Heroic,

Excited for the new release.

Do you have any intentions to add more character/hero units into future versions of the mod?

For example general Antoc Merrick (X-wing), admiral Raddus (Profundity), Cassian Andor (U-wing), rogue squadron, Asohka Tano and the Ghost crew for the rebels.

Special stormtrooper battalions (501st, death troopers etc), Inquisitors, 181st tie squadron (soontir fel), black eight tie squadron for the imperials to name a few.

Thanks.

I have a question for the more technical minded and gifted people...

Is it possible to have the steam version of EAWFOC installed and the GOG version of EAWFOC installed at the same time but running different mods on both?

Thanks for any replies to this question.

AhMrLee - - 10 comments @ Crash Fix (OUTDATED, READ LATEST NEWS ARTICLE)

So after reading all of the comments it seems that the conclusion here is...The steam version is unstable with this mod and unplayable with all the crashes, and as of yet there are no 'real' fixes with the steam version.

So you have to go to GOG.com to buy a different version of the game just to play the mod, correct?

Unless there are any updates regarding the steam version of the game working with the mod?

Thanks to any replies.

Hmm i don't think the Imperial navy had an equivalent, the Gozanti would be a good call for a lack of better choices. I do like the Gozanti, or the Vigil. The Vigil was somewhat larger though and had a different role.

I do like the smaller sized ships, the Imperial corvettes don't really seem to get that much love which is a shame. I do love having a variety of ships in my fleet. If the team is considering making more corvette class vessels available in the future for this mod i shall be a very happy gamer!

Another option for the Imperial ground forces to be safer in space is to either have the option to build bigger stormtrooper forces, like a battalion and that would require a corvette sized ship (like the Vigil) to transport them.

Or another option would be to treat ground units in space like some hero units and have them board the main cruisers and capital ships. However i'm not sure if that could be done? A question for the mod team. If it was possible then the star destroyers and acclamator would be ideal for that role of transporting ground units.

Hey Heroic,

Thanks for replying to my question about the U-wings. I'm happy to know they will eventually make an appearance.

To further elaborate on my idea for using U-wings as a troop transport and doubling up as a fighter during space combat could work in a couple of ways.

Firstly you could have most rebel basic ground units deploy as U-wings, to balance this out those units would have to cost more.

Alternatively you could purchase specialist rebel ground units (for example rebel commando's lets say) at a increased cost, these ground units alone would use the U-wing system and double up as U-wing fighters during space combat (Three U-wings to a squad?).

With both suggestions you could still have the option to just build the U-wing fighter separately from the space station instead, without a ground unit as cargo.

Hopefully this idea might get some creative juices flowing for you and the team. Keep up the good work and thanks for taking to time reply to the community.
