Very dumb Arctic fox. Giving out free and open-source hugs. Also a GoldSRC modder, and a gamedev. (idTech 3, 4, Unity, Unigine)
The engine that cries, version 5.
So yeah, my idTech 4 game is done and now I can have some fun with level design in CE. :)
I've used Unity, Unreal Engine 4, a bit of Godot, but honestly, CryEngine is what I am most familiar with, and emotionally tied to. I played Far Cry as a kid, and I just fell in love with it. And when I tried CryEngine 1 modding, I fell in love with that too.
And bang, years later, I'm back to CryEngine once again. Gonna play around for a bit as well as working on my Half-Life mod base, and once that's done, it'll be time for my next major project. :)
Oh right, forgot to say. I'm gonna add some trees, some grass, some smaller rocks, then volumetric clouds and that should be about it for this little scene. And yes, my habit stays the same. I'm, as always, making most of the assets. :)
Even without trees, grass, rocks this looks atmospheric! Keep it up!
Thank you. ^^
This is indeed. I was confused for seconds whether this is a map in engine or in real life. Wish ser.admer start his work on CE soon.
EDIT:- Also pardon my noobity, are you working on the base engine or sdk?
Nice looking landscape! Reminds me of those beautiful mountains in Herzegovina and Montenegro.
These textures are from Herzegovina indeed. :D
I'll be planning to make another game set in southern BiH, once I finish my Half-Life mod.
