I think i saw your server up, with like 250 player slots, or some crazy number!
that would be great!
What soldner really needs, is something that makes the battles sit in areas around the middle of the map, and only skirmishes all the way at the HQ's.
I talked to one or two makes about trying to work on it, but no one wanted too, but it be great if some modders like yoursleves could work on some feature like this?

Oh and how come your servers are a patch behind! - update! i want to play! lol

Well this is an awesome mod, and im keeping my Eye on it! i wish i had my Rig out here in NZ with me so i can play the beta! :P lol

I was FarmCrys manager, and i have to say your mod looks even better. e considered Source, and you've really shown off how cool a Tractor mod can be... Congradulations, im watching this mod with a sharp eye!

Yeah is a shame, but i can't continue any modding at the moment, i onyl have my laptop and Rig is back home in the UK.

Yeah, it died maybe 5 months ago, when we realised Coders are to difficult to get!
We did have quite a good map in the process of being finished, and Gypsy had some ace models and also some nice coding completed, and the basics of the mod, were sort of coming together.
But unfortunately without coders, a mod dies quickly!
Also its hard for me to contact Gypsy from the other side of the world (where i now live..for nxt few months) so it is just impossible to do anything on this mod.

i understand your point there, the official FarmCry server will hopefully stay up for a while for each map, as we want to add so much for the player to do :)

Well, AI Cattle may be on the game, but not to work with... Unless maybe the players have to build a diary, which just gives you additional funds automatically, but im unsure how we could do it, let me speak with the team and see if they have any ideas.

But dont expect it straight awaylol ;)

Ok, answers to the questions lol:
Yes this will be a great game to ply when hung over. ;)
Well, im unsure about tractor racing, but we can leave that up to the players to race around the mainy roads and country lanes i have on each map! :)

Don't think their will be poisoning of other players animals, but we may just add a shotgun and some birds, for the comedy of shotting your chickens, or your neighbours dog. lol

We want it to be fairly realistic, but at the end of the day its a game, and we want you to have fun on it, so chuck us ideas and we might be able to mould them in some where :)

I do regret to inform that we are finding it VERY hard to progress further with the mod at this time due to a number of "so called devoted members!" leaving without notice!
So i am calling to all who can help, please help us out... all work done will be credited to you!
We are as always looking for modellers, who can model everything from tools, to vechiles, and w need an experienced animator!

Butterman is also finding it hard to put time into FarmCry, as he is busy in RL, which of course is more important, but he finds time to do his work, but needs help wih the coding from what i gather! any volenteers out there? :)

i would really like to work on getting 1 Tractor and some items into one of my maps, and getting a menu done so we can put out some closed Alpha testing, but we do need a server. Now, a donation of a server to run a farcry mod, for temporay use would be wonderful!, and the admin/owner will be thanked many times over, and if the mod all goes well, i will be sure to give him/her some funding from my own pocket! lol

But i will purchase a Server to run an offical match closer to completion/ end of alpha testing!

So can anyone help? I really dont want this mod to die! It would be a great shame!, but with only 4 members, which are known to be active, it looks that it will if we cant recieve aid soon :(

Well, we have recruited new members, and of course we are still recruiting Animators and Skinners!... I might need another mapper too, so we can release more than one map when it DOES get to Beta.
We already have modelled the following:
A 4x4
A Village Post Office
The First Shotgun
And the Barn Model
And We have a number of tractors being modelled right now :)

I gave UV mapping ago, but isucked. anyone else here who can UV MAP? the models are made in WINGS 3d

I need to update this, as i have added beta textures and a small farm.

Well a few answers:

No its not an illegal modification. We are not profiting from its creation. TNew holland and Toxic Dream are at an agreement, we model there tractors and make them a mainstay, and they share information and maybe CAD models. As we are negotiating.

And ansswer to New holland getting money from advertising..... Do the makers of the M16 get money for having there gun in a game?? DO the Hummvvee designers get money for having there vechile in game..NO.

Well, i never played harvest moon, But this mod is going to have lots of effort put into it im sure. Its not to everyone's taste, but we want it to be a litle bit of fun. Im thinking about having one or two weapons (Shotguns) just for the comedy.. a farmer and his shoot gun. Maybe a mini game inside. Shot pheasents? lol

FarmCry, is in production for those of you who dont know :) .... Its a Tractor driving mod, which allows players to competively play online in teams. Eachtam has their own Farm.

what the hell are you boy's on about, i dont think this mod would ever die.
It has a huge fan base, of course it isnt as popular as Counter strike. But when you think HL 1...If your a real fan, you've got to think about Sven Co-op. It was an awesome mod!
...I think, if ever these guys uttered they were having trouble people, includingmyself would jump into help them. ...I think it would be impossible for this great mod to die!
