The sound and rumbling of hydraulics resounded through the corvette, indicating to the Padawans that their transport had arrived at its destination. The little and unremarkable Devaronian village named Deerae.

"Let this journey be a learning experience for you. Do not fret if you are unable to find anything in the ruins, let the Force guide you. Traverse the jungle, assist the villagers, meditate among the thousand river ways as the ancient Jedi have. We'll regroup in the evening at the ship."

Master Hebex smiled warmly and let her apprentices prepare themselves, armed with lightsabers, utility belts and comlinks they were ready to strike out on their own.

Erin took in village and forest around him. He could scarce believe he was finally deemed ready for his first solo mission. just being let loose in this small area felt as daunting and having the whole galaxy before him.

He knew better than to get ahead of himself however. Even though they knew where they needed to go, he felt as though it was best to learn everything they could about the area.

He turned to his fellow padawans.

"Shall we see if we can find someone to give us the lay of the land?"

"I think I'll pass," Said Padawan Wayfarer, a young human man. "I sense some powerful energy within the ruins. I'll make my way over there and see what I can find." Before giving anyone else a chance to reply, he darted off.

"Hang on you can't jus-" Yelled Padawan M'raak, the Nautolan girl. She started to chase after the human. "I'll follow him and keep him out of trouble." M'raak yelled back over he shoulders, leaving only Padawans Taro and Voldan.

Ka-Po-Tun Voldan was Cerean, the lad placed his hands behind his oblong head in a nonchalant manner and looked towards Erin. "Looks like it's just you and me, shall we head out?"

Erin sighed. The day Wayfarer learned patience is the day the galaxy would no longer need the jedi order.

"Alright then, I'd rather stick to my earlier suggestion and see what the locals have to say. Can you see anyone who looks like they'd know the area best?"

Erin had also began observing the people, seeing who would be best to approach first.

Deerae was a quaint little town, it's glory days are long behind it however. There were few people walking the streets, everyone probably know everyone here. Erin remembered why a place like this had a spaceport and it all went back to the days of the old Jedi Order, the place was established by refugees seeking Jedi protection. After Order 66, the Jedi were gone, the Empire destroyed the temple and gradually the townsfolk moved to greener pastures.

"I don't see a lot of people walking about, Erin." Voldan stated quietly. "Maybe we can ask around in a cantina or general goods' store?"

"right usually a cantina is the best bet for all kinds of info. I say we start there."

Erin and Voldan made their way to the nearest cantina, and located the bartender.

"Greetings, if you dont mind, i'd like some information for the path to the jedi temple."

"The Jed-eye what now?" The Devaronian bartender looked around briefly, trying to collect his thoughts. "Oh you mean the Eedit ruins!"

Voldan spoke up; "That's right, many years ago it was called the Eedit Temple. We're on a sort of pilgrimage, is there a safe path to the ruins?"

The man shook his head. "Not a lot of folks go there anymore, say it's been picked clean safe for the ghosts. Though if you're really keen on going up there, there's a shallow river by the townhouse that leads all the way up to the ruins. But don't say I didn't warn ya', there's no tellin' what sort of wildlife you might encounter along the way."

OOC: Due to inactivity I am shutting this event down.

Resolution here being that Erin Taro and Voldan become knights, padawans M'raak and Wayfarer die as the latter turned to the dark side within the temple ruins and slew his fellow padawan before being defeated by Erin and Voldan.

Description

The Jedi Order, more accurately the New Jedi Order, founded by grand master Luke Skywalker over a century ago was a vastly different beast from its predecessor.

Padawan Erin Taro, wasn't the only student of Master Hebex, but one of four. What's more, the New Jedi weren't sheltered and made to study age old wisdom but to go out, seek out their lessons under the guidance of more experienced knights. So it was for the students of Luke and Kol and so it will be once again, the war and third Jedi purge had depleted the order and brought it close to extinction but the light of the Jedi can never truly be extinguished and there are thousands of Force sensitives in the galaxy, waiting to answer the call of the Force and to be drawn to the light side.

In the Fondor sector, on the planet Devaron the Jedi had gathered for a very special task.

Padawans Taro, Voldan, M'raak and Wayfarer sat arrayed before their teacher in one of the meditation rooms of a requisitioned CR90. These young Jedi were very nearly complete with their studies, soon they would become knights.

"Padawans, I trust you have studied the history of the Devaron system? The planet is not a member world of the Alliance, we have been given very special permission to visit so I trust you to be on your best behaviour."

The Zabrak woman pressed a few buttons on a wrist device and the room darkened momentarily before a blueish hologram lit up the area. It displayed a geographical map of a vast jungle with only a handful of interesting areas; one of which was a spaceport with a nearby village, the other was a ruin. The Padawans could sense it, the area was a vergence in the Force.

"Those ruins are what remains of the Eedit Temple, it was abandoned during the Clone Wars and subsequently destroyed by the Empire. However, there may still be some special artefacts which remain inside. Specifically, the holocron of master Feerdax."
