this would be a very handy gun to have. you already have a ton of rounds to shoot plus the sights for great accuracy.

Remember, just because a weapons has sights, doesn't mean it's more accurate. Accuracy depends on the shooter. That, and this is a machine gun, accuracy isn't top priority.

Anyhow, awesome looking weapon.

And on construction of gun. And on ammunition. And you still cant just spread tons of rounds with great acuraccy, kickback will not allow you to do :D

true accuracy determines the shooter and the soldiers skill to control it. a lot will say a accurate weapon people have fired beretta m9 very well yes handy gun italian made green berets adopted it and in the tv show deadliest warrior they werent able to take out every target but the spetsnaz were this depends on the shooters and spetsnaz v.s. ira maxim franz from sniper team wasnt as good a sniper as sonny puzikas who was very great but it wasnt noticable since they wer both good what i mean is that the weapons accuracy determines how highly trained the military group is :)

Even a machine gun can be accurate, it's called "burst-firing".
That is, fire for 2 seconds, re-aim, fire for another 2 seconds, re-aim, etc... keeps you relatively on target, reducing your ammo-to-kill ratio by a lot. Going from 500 rounds per kill to 50 or 60 rounds per kill is much easier on the wallet, y'know?

Alluxx is right, it isnt a m240... take off all the mods and you can see, its a M60 alright, the m240 has a straighter edged metallic body, they seem pretty similar; m60 Paladinarmory.com

and then theres the M240 Echo1usa.com

Description

weapon info:

name: m240 light machine gun
manufacturer: Fabrique nationale
Country of origin: belgium
in service in: US army
in service since: early 1977
purpose: general purpose machine gun

rate of fire: 650-950 rounds per minute
max range: 3.7 km
feed system: disintegrating belt w/ m13 links
muzzle velocity: 905 meters/second

the m240 started service near the end of the 1970's and up until today. it was first adapted by the US as coaxial machine guns for vehicles such as tanks. it was also used as infantry MG's and defensive machine guns.

in the US army, the m240 is being used to replace the aging M60 MG, due to the fact that the combat records of the m240 proved to be far more superior than that of the m60.
