This is a group for all ID Tech 4 engine modders. Whether your modding forte is Prey, Doom 3, Quake 4 or all of them, we welcome you. Also, we will accept you no matter your modding skill. Even if changing the clip-size of your weapons seems difficult, then feel free to join up and we'll try and help you with it as best we can. This is a place for ID Tech 4 modders to hang out, chat, help each other out or post their latest work, even if its a very rough alpha they only want fellow modders experimenting with. Work is wrapping up on the upcoming 0.9.80 patch for the game. The patch will be released around the time Dhewm 1.5.0 goes final. Along with the patch, an add on pack to play as the Classic Doom marine will be available. The pack is a bit more than a player model swap. A few weapons have changed for him and other small bits to further customize the experience. This includes replacing the sword with a Chainsaw Gauntlet, Pyrokinetics replaced with the flame thrower and the return of the Grabber. The final bits of testing is now underway. The patch includes the previous save game crash hotfix. Other highlights include fixes for cross hair jitters with some weapons, a proper grenade launcher model, movable object clipping issues resolved, misc bugs, and missing visual effects from Doom3's thirdperson weapons. The machine gun, grabber, bfg and plasma gun now feature the same level of effects, and guis the first person models have had. We are also testing out allowing for uncapped frames. This allows for Rivensin and Dhewm 3 to played at frame rates higher than 60fps! Currently the patch is on track to be released before the end of the month.
