HOOVER DAM - Real World Landmarks Award - Razorb This is a map i have made for moddb's Far Cry 2 Map Making Competition! and it is for the Real World Landmarks Award. It supports all game types but is designed with CTD and Uprising as the main ones that should be played! Actually took me quite a while to finish... about 5 days of worth, working most days! Trying to make the dam look smooth and round was pretty tricky without using millions of Props and then once i made it i realized it was lacking something! so i had to change up the design of Hoover Dam a bit (or quite a bit) to actually make the map really fun ! and if u watch the video i hope u can see how fun it really is!! :D p.s: the video is in my profile here on moddb OR CLICK READ MORE..

oh dude when i tried to play this it freaked out my fc2 editor. I cant load maps but only start blank ones, when i start a blank one I have no tools,(objects, terrain, ect ect, even file, edit and all that stuff I'm really confused) any ideas?
Hey Spooboy yea there is a known error with some people and the loss of menu items n such... best thing to do is use the official fc2 forums.. here is the link for the menu items or lack their of!

also if you put the map in your downloads forder then u cant host a server ingame put your minimum players to 1 then u can try it out :)
One of your gliders should be swiveled slightly inwards; as is it almost always crashes in to the tower in front of it unavoidably.
i just tested them again ingame and they are fine imo...i dont want to make ppl's choice in what direction to go so i place them facing the middle and they are ok imo :) i just tried them both out about 6 times each :o
Weird. I guess it's just me then. Other than that your map is looking pretty sharp.
this map is wonderful!!! i had fun flying around! :D
there is only one detail that was irksome, and i only saw it in the editor, and that is the buildings off in the corners to the east and west of the map, which are inaccessible, some do not have anything beneath them, no ground. so IF a player made it out there, they would see right up through the floor...
plus i hate nice looking detailed spots being inaccessible or out of bounds :(
but that is easily overlooked because this map is so freakin' sweet!
Heh thanks man! :) but yea i didnt have ground below them because
1. a player cant see that ingame
2. better performance and lower file size (the thing that kills the file size is the Terrain
3. yea you cant reach there as i did a pretty detailed and overly tested bounding box that stops anyone from escaping the dam :p
oh and it wasnt very detailed :p just used 1 building duplicated ;D
