dude cool machine but you would have got the same fps with 4-6 gb of ram so kinda a over kill on the ram and the psu but then again allows you add more video cards and stuff epic machine :)

I get the 16 gb because ram is actually VERY cheap, 16 gb 1333mhz did cost 90€

The pc itself cost 950€

If the RAM was so cheap, you should have gotten faster RAM.

Somthing at around 4-8gb at 1800mhz with C8 Latency, now that would have been better :)

Just my opinion...

Im looking at building a new computer, and im getting 4gb or Crucial Smart Tracer, has LED's and speed, best of both worlds: Crucial.com

No you are Correct. Over 8-12gb is usually pointless unless you are running a server. I personally use 2 4gb cosair's dominator 1866mhz and I can browse the web while playing crysis and I have no latency issue whatsoever. (Of course it depend of CPU and GPU)

I should specify. When I said "No you are Correct" I was replying to nathan:"Just my opinion..."

Description

Hi all here you can see my new gaming pc

Parts:

Windows 7 64 bit
Asus M5A87
2x8GB DDR3-1333Mhz
AMD Phenom II X6 T1100 Black Edition 3,3Ghz
Asus nVidia ENGTX 560 Ti Dc ii TOP 1GB GDDR5
500GB Western Digital HDD

The pc has enough power tu run all games smooth on 1920x1080 with more than 30 fps on max details

Crysis 50 fps
(with 16xQ AA 35 fps)

Crysis 2 50 fps
(with 16xQ AA 40 fps)

Total War Shogun 2 60 fps
(with 8xAA 50 fps/with 8 full armys I get ~20-30 fps)

Far Cry 2 60 fps <- runs without vsync about ~100 fps

GTA IV not tested yet

all other games run with 40-60 fps

The pc is impressive quite, it has about 7 coolers (4 pc, 2 gpu, 1 cpu)
The gpu coolers can be heared only sometimes a little (but that doesn't matter, because you can't hear them while playing)

In the end:

I get 2-3 times more fps on this pc with max details than my old one on medium-high settings
