Buddhism is a philosophy and a way of life (or a religion) to about 300 million around the world, where mindfulness and acceptance of the life the way it is play key roles. Its name comes from the word "buddhi", which means to awaken. With Buddhism many practices and concepts can be associated, for example, meditation and Karma.

Buddhism is a very nice prospect meant to better our lives without dangling a treat in front of us, its paths are to enlightenment, not a heaven or hell.

Never realized Karma was from the Buddhist philosophy?

I thoroughly believe that it exist in some form, whether in actually physical occurrences or in the fantasies of the mind.

I'm not a buddist, but I think everyone should be open for new ideas and other religions. They give us things to think about. Tolerance is important, and tolerant people will earn the gift to have friends with other religions. Well hope you can understand what I mean :3

Well, Buddhism basically is only a philosophy, and to some - who'd like to fill up job applications or are "official" Buddhists (followers of Dalai Lama) etc., it's a religion.

So, in fact, you can be both "Christian" and "Buddhist" at the same time, because Buddhism is a philosophy.
