For some inexplicable reason some people find Episode 1 to be bad or poor and look down upon it. I never understood that sentiment. Especially compared to 7, Episode 1 truly brought so many new designs and things to the table. The Pod Racing was awesome and the droid army especially the Droideka were liked a lot.

I never quite understood the criticism about Jar Jar either. Poor actor almost committed suicide over trolling. He played an exiled Gungan bum. It makes sense that he behaves the way he does. A stark contrast to the Jedi night, often used to ease up the tension or lighten up the mood in what is a very dark story.

A big part of the story is child slavery afterall.

The Droideka was a pain to fight in Jedi Power Battles.

Description

Unlike the spindly battle droids, whose humanoid builds allow them a degree of versatility, droidekas are designed with one sole function in mind: the complete annihilation of their targets. Slung at the end of heavy arms are immense twin blasters, which unleash destructive energy at a pounding pace. The destroyer droid can completely envelope itself in a globe of protective energy via its compact deflector shield generators, though at the expense of its mobility. Although slow and awkward on its three-legged gait, the droideka can transform into a much speedier, disk-shaped form.
