Zap the Knight is a casual, gesture based mobile game for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone 7 in active development at Hashstash Studios.

In the game, the players play as Zap the chameleon, which steps up to save its home, the town of Nomoresad, from an evil pestilence that was beyond any repairs the human residents could have made. In his journey, Zap will face many enemies and fight many battles and prove to be a champion of the humans - a true knight.

Hashstash Studios, a Delhi/NCR (India) based independent game development studio, releases their first Android game today: Zap the Knight (Lite). The game is now available on the Google Play Store for download (Get it now!).

"We expect the Lite version to be a good introduction to the story, characters and the franchise as we build on top of it in the coming months and gear up for a series of releases across platforms." said Kinshuk Sunil, Game designer for Zap the Knight. “We are also excited as this is the first game that uses our own tech - Trivial Analytics, a scoring and analytics subsystem that will really help us gauge how the game is performing for our players. More on Trivial stack will be announced in the coming months”, he added.

The game is the story of a common, everyday chameleon that steps up to save its beloved town - Nomoresad, from an evil infestation, the causes of which are yet unknown. As the chameleon fights through one challenging night, trying to save the town, it will discover itself and grow into Zap the Knight.

The game features a very simple gestures based gameplay mechanic that we expect easy to accept and use by gamers. The initial responses that we have got in our betas is very encouraging. Our players find the game cute, engaging and fun.” said Mayank Saini, Programmer for Zap the Knight.

The casual mobile game is available free of cost for Android users, running Android 2.1+. The game also performs well on devices running Android 4 (ICS). It will soon be released to a series of other platforms.

The game features:

  • an interesting character and their journey to knighthood
  • set in a cute world
  • engaging and difficult gameplay
  • simple, gestures based gameplay
  • a new technology - Trivial Analytics: metrics and scoring subsystem
