The Requiem is an up and coming video game and an ambitious project, implementing a lot of new features and concepts not seen before.
The Requiem is about surviving the resistances in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by virus infected humans. Humanity was not unprepared however, several pockets of resistances have been set up in various towns and cities to fend off the threat and start anew. The infected are the least of your problems, your resolve will be tested by the harsh political climate of the resistances in a decimated world.
The game is created using the powerful Unreal Engine 4, and recreates the beautiful countryside, towns and cities of the South of England and Wales in high quality and detail. The Requiem will include extensive bartering, scavenging and NPC interaction systems; as well as a variety of vehicles and weapons to be used.
The game will include a never before seen crafting system, that allows you to take pretty much anything you find and make it into a weapon how you would want to use it.
Synopsis
The Requiem is an FPS horror game set in modern day United Kingdom, predominantly areas along the M4 corridor in England & Wales.
After a catastrophic biological attack by anti-globalist terrorists across the world; as infection that has turned a third of the population of ordinary people into zombie-like beings, who’s only apparent aim is to kill anyone who has not been infected.
The story centers around Adam Phillips, a young, uninspiring, odd jobs man from the heart of the South Wales valleys; who finds himself in a whole new world having to make decisions that he never wanted to make. Travelling through the different environments that the UK has to offer, Adam finds himself in the midst of emerging survivor group resisting the infection. Each with different motives and methods, the player is thrown into a dark and challenging story line that will have players questioning humanity.
Following a unique and sometimes unsuspecting protagonist, Adam risks everything he has left in the effort of reaching the only thing he still has in the world he has left.
We plan to release The Requiem for PC initially within the Pre-Alpha and Beta stages, then moving on to console release further down the pipeline development. The reason for console release being delayed until final launch is purely because we want the final launch to be fantastic, with minimal bugs; making sure we deliver the best experience possible to the players. Also at the current stage of the game, we could not afford to support console at this stage.
Faction System
Several different factions have set up after the fall of structured governments plunging the world into anarchy. Resistances may not see eye-to-eye on how the world should be restructured, or even if it should be. Beware of bandits.
Inventory and Crafting
An inventory and crafting system will assure that you can make use of various objects found around the world. It will allow you to repair any broken items, or build new ones altogether.
Bartering
With currency devalued, the only way for you to trade is with possessions. The age old system of bartering assures that some kind of economy still remains.
Dynamic Weather System
A realistic weather system will assure an environment with a constantly changing weather climate.
Notoriety
We want your decisions to have proper impact. Your decisions will affect how you are viewed by the different factions in the game. Traders will also be affected by your decisions, whether it is their stock or their price.
Favour System
Since The Requiem is set in a post-apocalyptic setting, the lack of tradable goods can impede on your progress and negatively impact your chances of survival. Luckily, some of the citizens of the new world might be willing to negotiate with favours instead of items.
Vehicles
Although the number of working vehicles has drastically decreased, the general rule is the vehicle is mechanically intact and has fuel, you can drive it.
Weapons
We want to provide you with an experience unlike any other, we plan to implement over 100 different usable weapons.
