"Wake up Young Sorrow......"
You are the Last of the Sorrow, a small group of humans living on the brink of extinction in a harsh and dangerous world that your kind once ruled over.Fight your way out of the Ancient Fortress in which you have been held prisoner for so long. Escape the Prison and find the other Sorrows....
"There is much to do......"

The Last Sorrow is currently under development so the Prototype features 4 sections of a much larger level.

Just some tips with the Prototype itself :

- Take your time with the combat. If you don't use your shield you will die quite fast. So try balance out the combination of sword and shield.

- Your health goes back to full at the start of each section. This is just to keep people playing for now, but will be removed in the future.

- As for the Boss. He can incredibly tricky and unfair at first. Try and learn his patterns and be patient. He's a lot easier than he appears to be.

So as you can probably tell this is the first release in a while for me. I've been a bit preoccupied with my Itch.io page for a while, so I thought I'd release my new game's prototype here too for a change.

The game is called The Last Sorrow. It's kind of a Hack n Slash, Dungeon Crawler type game with a focus on Simple yet difficult combat. For the Prototype itself, I've included 4 levels from a much larger and more intricate Area. The levels are quite straightforward, with simple (kind of) enemies. And finally there's a BOSS (as seen below)

Maybe the bosses in the future should better telegraph their next move

True. It's a bit random at the moment and I do plan on integrating some audio cues to give the Player some kind of warning of attacks.

Thanks for playing :)

he slides when you stop moving. also, I couldnt tell when you are outside if the darker walls are blocking the way. Maybe you could put some snow at the bottom to define it as another building in the way. Also, when your enemies swing, its hard to tell when its safe to let go of your shield and stike. Either slow down their attacks, make the pause between attacks longer, or make him stop attacking for a bit because they tend to sometimes start attacking and not ever stop. Hope this helps. I can tell its gonna be awesome. Love the art

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. The sliding thing is a known bug that I'm looking to rectify soon enough.

Also, there's plenty that needs tweaking but I really like some of the suggestions you've given. Thank you!
