The Birth of an Angel Windows game

This game is a crossing between classical arcade games like Metroid and the modern game Dear Esther by thechineseroom.

It could be seen as an interactive graphical story, which still can be beaten.The goal of the game is to ascend to the heaven as quick as possible while avoiding clouds that slows down the player, and to collect lanterns sent by relatives to the character. These lanterns transforms the character into an angel, and by collecting all lanterns the player will rise higher than to the heaven, thus gaining extra score.

The music is dynamicly put together "on the fly", reacting to the player's actions. If the game is played well, a complete song will be playing at the end of the game.In the background a story of the character is built up with random pieces of texts, resulting in a slightly new story each time. When collecting a lantern, the thought assosiated with it will be displayed next to the level.

The general idea behind the game is to stir up emotions, but still be gentle and respectfull.
