A quick look at the early concept art, defining the look of our game.

For the first dev log, let’s start by giving you a look at the look of the game. While the programmers keep with their tasks of making a playable build, we already have a lot of visual stuff we can show.


Firstly, we have the initial thumbnails to nail down the character anatomy and proportions. We wanted a character that was simple and easy to read from the top-down angle that will be used in the game, so they are very segmented and simple shapped

After getting a good sillouette that seemed like the right fit, we advanced with an outfit design. All characters will wear the same uniform, with sections that change color based on the team.

CONCEPT ART

Next a simple reference sheet. We hope that there’ll be enough time to implement a customizable character, so the reference for the 3D model is very barebones, without a defined face or hairstyle.

We also have some early environment thumbnail sketches. These are mostly to nail down the vibe of the place and the elements that will need to be modeled.

Lastly, this color study over one of the thumbnails. We are planning on going with a green background to distinguish it from the players.
