The contained package is of version 1.0.0 . Be sure to check whether newer versions are available on the releases page. From this page also the corresponding source-code of the editor can be downloaded, including binaries for Linux.
The editor allows modification of:
- Levels (layout, content)
- Content
- Electronic messages (text, graphics, audio)
- Various texts
- Level textures
- Balancing properties (properties of game objects)

Note: Although a wide array of features is supported, not all features of the engine are. Still, for the most part, regular mods should be possible. If you are creating a mod and you are missing a feature, get in contact with dertseha , the author.
I wish you could make more custom level editors for rpgs like this. Like I would kill to see an Arx Fatalis level editor.
The closest thing we'll get to an Ultima Underworld editor is the port of the game to Unity.
