Star Apocalypse is the reinvention of the 4X genre. The game is a real time game of intergalactic civilization, using the computation power of modern computers to run advanced simulations on cultural, technological and societal interaction and development.

It has been some time since the most recent update. A lot of things have been going on since then. Firstly, we've continued working on concepts, and laying a solid foundation to build a game.

It has been some time since the most recent update. A lot of things have been going on since then. Firstly, we've continued working on concepts, and laying a solid foundation to build a game.
Lately, we've been looking a lot into Ogre3D, which is a nice engine. We can produce things very quickly with it. It will also decrease development time a lot. It's now a job of choosing the right design, and the right way to make things. Once that's done, we can get going with making a game.

We've been working on several game concepts. Some of these are more fun than others. There will soon be an announcement on what our future plans will be. This doesn't mean that Star Apocalypse won't be made. It will eventually become a reality. It's just a huge project, where we want to be sure of that we can make it. But we've got some really cool stuff coming up.

Also, over the past 3 months, new development members have joined the team. Firstly, Thijs aka TLT joined the team. You might have seen him on the page already, posting several things. Next, Joop joined. He isn't yet on ModDB, but you will notice his work soon. Then after Roy aka Zero joined. He's also for quite some time already in the team. He also has the most experience of working with Ogre3D of us all. The youngest development member is Hannah aka Puntjes. She's new at game development, and we will teach her how to make games, during the course in which we develop our games.

Speaking on a personal note, I've got a job since 27 october. Seeïng that it's in the restaurant business (Horeca in Dutch), I've had some really extremely busy workweeks. Previous week I was at work for 60 hours. That's all due to the christmas season. After new years EVE, I will get a lot more spare time, enabling me to help the rest with working on the game.

Last things last, we've opened up a tumblr page, where you can find all the latest news. The modDB page will see less frequent, but more important news updates, while the tumblr page will host frequent news updates. So feel free to follow that space!
