Hey there,

Here's some stuff I wanted to update you on.

Firstly, I've re-opened a PHPBB3-based forum. It's currently hosted at a very nice community named "Space Sim Central". Even if you don't directly follow Star Apocalypse, there's some great folks to be found there! Head of the forums by clicking this.

The forums are open to discuss a lot of things. Also, remember that there's the IRC Chat, where you can chat live and anonymously with us! You can reach it from our homepage!

About the concept: We didn't get as much feedback from the community as we had hoped, but we did get a lot of ideas. We discussed internally on these matters, and want to present the end result of this to you.

First off, the sacrifices which will need to be made are that the game would have to be turn-based, in order to be effectively able to manage the scope we want to put into it. The game would be PBEM/PBW oriented, which would make the game viable in small and large matches.

What will we gain with it? Well, the game would gain a huge amount of depth and detail. Making it this way, would allow players to make very detailed decisions in the game, in terms of strategy. It would also allow us to provide the scope we've explained in the game's description. We would even be able to make it more detailed.

Also, another nifty thing which will be added, is that the game will be situated from the past till the future. It will simulate civilization from the start of it, till the end. Imagine like it would be like spore, but then better, with more strategy and depth.

We could continue the list, but we'd rather hear what your thoughts are on it! Let us know through the comments, forums or IRC chat! We love to hear from the community!
