Star Apocalypse is the reinvention of the 4X genre. The game is a real time game of intergalactic civilization, using the computation power of modern computers to run advanced simulations on cultural, technological and societal interaction and development.
This is a unit movement prototype of Star Apocalypse. It demonstrates basic unit movement on a fixed-size map.
This download is a 7-zip archive which contains several things:
1. The source code of the project (see the *.cs files. These can be opened with visual studio C# or notepad).
2. A compiled version of the program (.exe), found in the bin/x86/debug folder.
3. An installer, found in the publish folder.
shift: speed up the movement.
pageup/pagedown: zoom in/out.
I would recommend using the compiled version if you want to view the program. You need to have XNA framework 3.5 installed for this.
If you don't have this, you can run the installer, but please note, it installs in your user's profile.
