A very unusual issue that only exists with the CS armor models.
Update 1: added fixed versions of the CS main cast and side characters normals.
Update 2: added fixed versions of the "build" normals for the older versions of the CS-1 and CS-3a.
Update 3: Fixed every single normalmap for all characters assets that were introduced in Clear Sky, and fixing the FP hand normalmaps too, might have missed some due to the sheer scale of normalmaps in the game.
Update 4: Fixed Burers normalmap for CoP, this pack is compatible with both CS and CoP and CS character assets are packed into CoP anyway, there arent enough broken normals to warrant its own pack.
Update 5: Renamed the build CS armors from their original name scheme to their naming scheme that is commonly seen on ports of the models for ease of use (act_stalker_nebo_a instead of act_nebo_1)
For those that are unaware, the Clear Sky faction armors have their normalmaps, which dictate how a model reacts to lighting, in a incorrect format, this causes them to look either flat or react to lighting flat out incorrectly, what causes this is the normals were made in OpenGL format instead of DirectX, which is what Xray/S.T.A.L.K.E.R. uses for rendering the game world, where there should be bumps instead look sunken in, and vice versa.
This rebuilds the normalmaps properly for DirectX using the source textures, and by extension restores normally unseen visuals on the models such as the CS-3a having a shiny visor, and other such things on the armor.
good job :]
Thanks mate ,useful mod.
