An action/adventure game taking ques from both film-noir and samurai-drama's of old, "samurai_jazz" takes players on an adventure through an enigmatic city, engaging in realistic sword-fights, encounters with mythological beings, and quirky dialog with the local inhabitants all presented in a pseudo 8-bit format. While action remains the central focus, a bit of detective work and puzzle-solving is necessary along with the usage of twitch-reflexes while having to plan and perform strategies effectively to overcome each of the game's abstract scenarios.
Also, a few improvements have been made to the game for the Steam release. Purchasers who had bought a copy on Desura and my website (blazeepic.com) will be receiving Steam keys and the update with the improvements made to the game very soon.
Many thanks for everyone's support on Greenlight and everywhere else!

Cannot play the game. This sucks. Please help.
Bought. Can't wait to play it.
Just tweeted this project to my followers :)
The graphics are nice, the gameplay looks fun as well. And I hate to nitpick also but "realistic" is a term that should be avoided. I think it invites expectations that are very difficult to meet, for one. And I think the single attack animation will put people off.
That being said, if the music is as lovely and retro as the graphics, (and perhaps what would tip my final decision even more is if there was just a bit more variety to the combat) I'd be willing to give it a try..
i like it but i not agree with your description of the game. It's a "one hit one kill system", not a "realistic" system of combact or anyway you don't show it in the only one trailer of the game. Make another one please. And maybe show some of the other way to put down enemies like you said.
Anyway i will buy it, hoping an upgrade or just for the style, i don't played enough game on my psx and GBA
" Engage in realistic sword fights with enemy swordsman" all i saw was one attac style & block.
I miss PSX samurai simulator games
Same. So I made a GBC version!
sad
This looks relatively intresting...I will be picking it up soon! It's fairly priced and visually appealing.
Thank you for the support! It will not disappoint...
